  1. They missed at least 3 or 4 golden chances. We decided to not turn up at all after going 4-1 up at home. I know you have this giddy positivity about the team these days but that was diabolical and on another day we easily draw or lose that. A little tired of our captain busying himself with fist pumping the fans when steaming shite is being served on the pitch. I think a couple of his attempts were met with whimpers from the crowd today, read the room Bruno mate.
  2. It was coming. We dont deserve to win this honestly. Beyond pathetic this half
  3. Wtf are Murphy and Pope doing there? We've become a fucking non serious team. Ridiculous
  4. Time for Willock to step up and show that he can have a future here. But aye that midfield doesn't inspire a lot of confidence. Need Bruno at his best.
  5. I thought that should have been a pen. Young does dive but there's a couple of clear pulls there. Certainly not a clear and obvious error from the ref for VAR to intervene
  6. I see the club shop is still run like the Mike Ashley days. Ordered a couple of things for the kid. First time the courier lost it somewhere and after about a month of waiting they sent a new shipment out. Except it never even got sent out this time Another couple of weeks passed and upon remembering I ask them and they simply send a message saying we'll refund you. Not a word of explanation/apology either Not really fussed about the items but we might want to raise our game a little here if the club's going to compete on the merchandizing front with the rest. We havent signed anyone in 3 windows you jackasses
  7. Good to have our reliable backup options (hopefully add Schar to the list) tied down as the focus obviously has to be on first team additions.
  8. Terribly sorry to hear this mate. What a kick in the stomach after the good news just the other day. Hope you have good people around you and things go easy as they can under the circumstances.
  9. Ooh that's a nice little compensatory claim right there. I suppose we'll wait till City's proceedings are done.
  10. I think we'll be up for this one after the shambles last Saturday. 1-3 to Forrest
  11. If someone is ready to pay 25M odd for Willock should it be considered? I like him and he was brilliant two seasons ago, not to mention saving our arses with his goals when he first got here. But he seems absolutely all over the place since the injuries and you have to wonder if he can get back to his best.
  12. Schar like Trippier another one whose age seems to have caught up suddenly. We can't start next season with him as first choice if we have any ambition.
  13. I don't disagree with that. That's what I mean by saying we're overachieving and aren't really a CL side yet. But the manner in which we suddenly fall off is concerning. And not just against City. Fulham and Bournemouth were the same and it was clear from the start in those games we were not showing up and were in for a poor defeat. Earlier on in the season we were just as inconsistent. Last season we had fatigue and injuries to blame. This time it's just like we go completely missing. Today should have been a LOT better. I don't see the point in disguising that. Almost everyone has given them proper games in the last few months and we've faced them off the back of a massive midweek fixture and given them an easier game than they could have dreamed off. That's the galling part. They just gave to brush it off and try and get something against Forrest. I'm concerned what this run will do to confidence before the final. Other than that if Howe manages another CL finish he deserves a medal because our natural position is probably 7th or 8th.
  14. And Fulham are 3 points behind us now This was the game we were supposed to have a real chance at once at their ground. I get what many of you are saying. City spent in January and we couldn't. The main reason we are stagnant is PSR, there's no debating that. But I think there also other things to be considered. They played a grueling game mid week against the champions of Europe. They also have many more injuries than us whereas we had a full weeks rest after playing a league one side. They are not as good right now as we made them look tonight and we can be so much better. We just didn't turn up today and that's so disappointing. Second to every ball, couldn't string two passes together, individual errors, no press, just nothing. When we're good we're fantastic and other times we look like a lower mid table team. You don't know which NUFC will turn up. For me the squad is not good enough for CL and we'll have overachieved again if we get it. 3 dismal defeats in 4 league games and two fixtures coming up that on current form we don't win Anfield will likely be another tonking anyway. Some of the mentality needs to be questioned, far too many times this season we just haven't turned up.
  15. Saying something when your thought about a player is if Longstaff might have been a better option today
  16. Tragic, dreadful all around. So disappointing, everytime you think we've become a decent team there's a reminder of just how far there's still to go. Haven't had a sniff
  17. And Trippier for shit for months before he was dropped. Moot point anyway. Games done We just haven't turned up.
  18. So bad in possession. I guess we're sticking to the cups now
  19. This is why Tino came into the side in the first place. Gota be able to do the defensive basics ffs
