They're already 8 points clear. This is an uncessary complication in our quest for a repeat CL finish but well done to them. The blip will come at some point as it did for us last season, let's see how they cope with that and injuries etc.

Dodgy decision with 98th minute winner coming up

I do concur with the general pant pissing on the last couple of pages here in that this group of players has probably reached their phyiscal limit, and the reaminder of the month could be very painful. Don't think we should be writing off the league though. Even if more poor results follow. We're still in touching distance and post January with players back we will look a very different team. A lot will happen between then and the end of the season. Europe is and should remain a target, CL would be a bonus like last season. This baptism of fire season will do wonders for us long term.

Where did I say that? We've had tough luck with fixtures too. But we've dealt with it at home, and struggled away. We just can't generate the same energy/intensity away from SJP. Not saying any of this is not understandable. It's just frustrating. I think Trips will hold his hands up. Tired or not we were very much in the game till the horrendous errors. Just gota move past it now.

Hall is the one I'm puzzled about. You'd think six months into the season he could at least be a 15-20 minute impact sub and relieve Trippier for a bit with Tino moving to RB. But there's been a few occasions now when players he could replace have looked visibly knackered but Eddie's not trusted him.

Chelsea were shocking though. Some of the passing and decision making from their $100M players is torrid. They spend most of the game passing it about sideways before lumping it to Mudryk or Jackson who are either asleep or cant control the ball unless there's no opposition player within 20 yards.

Aye we're 7th as it stands and it definitely feels like we should be higher with the way we've been playing. Top 4 will go down to the wire again. I'd expect Villa and Spurs to drop off at some point mind. Well Spurs are already dropping aren't they. As good as Villa are right now remains to be seen how long they can sustain it. Great result tonight but City are nowhere near their best these days.
