Dont mind these LTA. They wont be laughing when ASM becomes the first player from Saudi to win the Ballon'dor, and the shout out to his friends' shady facebook watch selling business during the acceptance speech will also be pretty epic. -
Talk all you like about tactics etc but it's really hard to look past the impact of the terrible window. You can't think of another side that actually weakened their squad in the summer. We aren't playing well no doubt and Eddie has to find a way to get the players to click again but it was always going to be an uphill task after that window. You can say we still have a decent squad but this league has consistently shown that standing still in the window equals decline.

I honestly do get people getting frustrated with that touristy types that just seem to be there for selfies. I reckon if you're a lifelong fan who's waited your whole life to visit you'll spend the time taking in the atmosphere and screaming at the match. That and the quality Kebab shop someone posted the other day.

Expand the stadium and let all the US folk in on hospitality I say. HMHM can go suck it You lot can focus on protecting the culture and atmosphere etc. Let the foreign folk pay for Miggy's replacement ffs.

There's a bunch of hotels housed there rather than one big one iirc. Nice 5 star ones that obviously not everyone can afford but nothing too opulent I think like some of the stuff you see in Dubai etc. Their main attraction is you can walk to the kaaba from the hotel rather than spend time in buses and traffic like most people. Mind MBS does have plans to further commercialize the whole thing and of course humans will inevitably make everything about money and class.

Tonali was a bit disappointing with the ball yesterday. You've got to think it's the way we play and where we currently are as a team that so many usually technically good players have struggled to far. Or is it the other way around? More confidence and calmness on the ball would lead to more chances and better forward play? Trippier a few games ago seemed to be the answer as he calmed everything down but since he's started he hasn't looked great at all. Tino when he came on added a lot of energy and pace and you think oh why aren't we starting him. Good luck to Eddie because you can tell it's hard to know what's ours best starting eleven right now. Joe has looked like himself physically and imposed himself on the opposition really well last two games. But his end product and composure is still lacking, also loses the ball a lot in important positions. Bruno has also been much better after an absolutely honking start to the season. I think it's important Eddie perseveres with these 3 on midfield, especially with Isak back and Gordon and Barnes on the wings. There are signs of improvement, a goal or two is all it could take to bring the attacking confidence back.

Generic small time football blather thread FOREVER

Here's your daily reminder of just how OLD the people on this board are. Sheeeeeeeeeeesh There's a game tomorrow against a team we hate and therefore will likely lose. So you all had better be prepared to watch, whinge on the match thread and then have the rest of your weekend ruined afterwards. That's how it's done. Freaking boomers.
