Unlucky Wilson there. How good has Bruno been today. Need more of this from him in the final third.
-
That's incredible if true. With all the medical protocols etc these days how has he been paying.
-
Lovely to see Botman's laser passing in play again š
-
What a ball that was from Bruno.
-
We sit and whinge about everything during a game mate. Nobody is picking on him, he just has more whingable moments than anyone else
-
Let's see if Hall is trusted enough to give a break to Gordon or Miggy when we're 2 nil up at home against 10 men. Something seriously wrong with him if he can't come on even now right?
-
Yes but if you've watched us regularly you know he's one of the first candidates for an upgrade. He has his occasional moments but on the whole he's not a CL quality player and he sticks out like a sore thumb in an otherwise free flowing attacking side. This is not something we are just realizing today.

Ooof Krafth how great it would have been to see him score
-
And his overall play has been miles above anything Miggy has done

Dubravka isn't so great but that's a bit harsh

50 % success rate from tap ins over the last 2 games If it stands
-
They will rule this out won't they
-
Yesss get in Gordon superb work there. Even Miggy can't miss a tap in
-
Please please please sign a RW in January
-
Get in Miley! What a moment. Brilliant work from Bruno.

Joe might have been the one person to bulldoze his way past the defence and create a chance. We have zero creativity right now.
-
Joe down now. This is becoming a joke. Signing 2 first team players in the summer starting to look like a great idea.
-
Just what we needed that sending off Smash them now lads
-
Yup RW would be the first signing for me.
-
Ffs what is it with players coming in and then injured again this season.

Fingers crossed the litigation from other clubs bears fruit soon as well. -
Gordon has looked knackered last two games. I agree starting Isak on the left might be a good idea if Wilson is fit. Mind you Isak continues to look a shadow of last season's player. Dunno if it's a fitness thing but he needs a goal to get going again. Glad Trippier is suspended, only way he was going to get the desperately needed rest. Wish Miggy could be rested/dropped too but there's noone to come in. Desperately needed win here. This is not going to be an easy game. Fulham are in good form plus our lot are exhausted and probably low on confidence after the last 3 games.

The manner in which last night unfolded was a sickening. Seeing us second and then have both games turn in a matter of minutes. Ultimately I'm not really bothered tbh. As others have said this was a brilliant adventure, we were never going to get too far or win the competition. Under the circumstances the team has done very well even if we've won 1 game out of 6. If this felt like a one time thing I'd be more disappointed, but it's not. That is the key. In a year or two we'll be back and much stronger for this experience. I know this being NUFC you always feel like things are going to fall apart sooner or later, but it really does feel different this time because the owners have thus far taken all the right steps in building a successful sustainable club.

That's football though. It's very hard to break into the top. Even harder to stay there. So many teams outside the established big boys get into the CL and then fall away not to be seen for another many years. It's a hell of a transition. When you play more games you make more mistakes, especially when you sign 4 players in the summer window. What's encouraging is we've gone about the right way so far in building the club in a manner that ensure we'll be back soon. We just need to keep building steadily. Secure a good league position again this season and upgrade 2-3 first team positions next summer.
