Aye could have been worse given our luck this season. With the fixture list and injuries relenting a bit we really should win. Chelsea drawing Villa and Spurs City is also good.

I know others here have said that so its probably because local lads/geordies feel the pressure a lot more? I was a bit nervous before the game and have been in previous mackem fixtures when they've continued to beat us despite being shite, but yesterday you could just tell the massive difference in class from the first minute. It never really felt uncomfortable, perhaps a few moments in the second half when we let Pritchard stroll through the middle of the park a couple of time after Joe went off. They were also utterly lacking in courage, refused to take a risk even after going 2 down in a cup game, perhaps the only chance they had yesterday was to get in our faces early and try knick a goal against a team low on confidence.

Aye that's one of the hallmarks of a top forward isn't it? He's been clearly unfit like some of the others, really good to see him looking more like himself lately. That bit of fire in going up to defend Gordon was brilliant to see too I know Bruno is the engine, the anchor of this team right now. But imo Isak is the one who's likely to produce the magic moment to win a trophy or do something special on the big stage. Really hope he's not a Wilsonesque perma crock.

That might work when we have everyone fit and raring to go. Especially Joelinton and Willock who with their energy allowed the team to maintain a higher press. So this year he's been found out time and again. Also of course teams have worked out how to better play against us as our approach is very clear. I don't think Burn was ever supposed to be a long term LB. He's done really well and it's been brilliant to see how much he's enjoyed it but Tino has already showed what a difference a proper quality full back can make and he's only going to get better.

Well that was the easiest game of the season by far. Just the confidence boost the players needed.

Almost feel sorry for them. On hand they absolutely hate NUFC's guts and want nothing to do with such an unethical club, and yet at the same time the fixture is their biggest in years and they've no idea when or if they'll have such an occasion again so you might as well celebrate it.
