Generic small time football blather thread FOREVER

Aye it probably needs a long term project when a manager they back is given enough time to ship out the rubbish and get hungry players in, change the whole outlook of the dressing room. It's a hell of a ask though because it will need time and patience even if they manage to find the right man for the job. -

He's got talent no doubt but for the most part he's wasted it apart from that run of form last season. Often petulant and childish on the pitch, doesn't work hard either. Maybe he just needs a manager or a particular set of conditions to get him going but that's not the sort of player I'd want. Ten Hag does seem like a proper failure at man management though. It's a brilliant circus to watch I'm a bit concerned it'll help the club decide they need to get rid of him. -
He's an underrated player imo. Does a good job week in week out without fuss and has a great attitude by all accounts. Obviously this could just be a rumor especially if its the Mail ffs, but he's the type of player you could see Eddie wanting.

Well here's hoping Salah buggers off too and things fall apart for them. Also really hope City convincingly win the league so he doesn't get a heroes send off of any kind and the gap between them and the top is as obvious as last season. Good manager and all no doub but he's been an utter prick for the last 2 years or so at least. -
Joe loves the club I think there's still a decent chance he'll end up extending, unless he knows Bayern/Barca or someone of that ilk is interested. He's an absolutely key player and deserves to be amongst the top earners but if he's asking for more than I can understand the club standing firm.

Can clearly only mean one thing. In a first, oil discovered under the old training ground. Club to earn royalty ~500M/year. Plans to move to the new facility will need to be expedited but the royalties should just about cover it.
-
Despite the progress made this shows you how far behind we still are to 'top clubs'. Less than half revenue than that of Spurs or Chelsea, just marginally above West Ham. We'll be climbing places with the CL money and new sponsorships this year. But after that it will stagnate a little as there won't be CL next season, unless the club manages to find some really innovative ways of securing new sponsorships.
-
Beckham and Zidane shouldn't be used in the same breadth either to be fair
-
Yeah I get it from Miggy's point of view because he is very very unlikely to end up at a club chasing CL or trophies. If 30M is on offer though I hope Ashworth has him tied up and in a taxi because that's definitely the best thing for the club for next season.
-
Considering what other players like Fabinho and Neves have gone for, the fee should be at least 30M hopefully.
-
Look on the bright side, already 2 new signings for next season.
-
I'm sure Ashworth has a list of candidates we could target for 50M rather than splunk it on Solanke who might go back to scoring 6 goals a season next year.
-
The currently 17th placed team could be deducted ANOTHER 10 points and still probably stay up

Have I mentioned that this season is a 'write-off'?
