  1. Aye if this is the level of his understanding of football it bodes really well for ManU.
  2. One of the arsehole talksport hosts, no idea what his name is but he had Darren Bent sitting next to him, was having an argument with a fan on why Ashworth should need to go on gardening leave. Was comparing it to player transfers and that they immediately start playing for the new club. Yeah that's a bloody brilliant apples to apples comparison right there, one one hand you have someone who's supposed to be plotting the direction of the club for years and has access to sensitive data and plans that could have implications far into the future. Versus someone who's only literal job is to onto the filed and play. It's like comparing a CEO of a major company moving to a direct competitor with a truck driver doing the same. The fan was a mug too, didnt make any reference to how we dealt with Brighton and the gardening leave he was put on then.
  3. I just wonder how long Howe will give it before he tries something different. Whether its Tino coming in or a change in system as the Fish says. He's sticking with Burn but unless Joe is making a miraculous recovery our midfield problems aren't going away this season are they? Does he think Willock or Anderson coming back will make a difference? They'll certainly provide the energy but not Joe's physical presence.
  4. Also, how refreshing is it to see that NUFC had their bases covered on this. 2 years of gardening leave If the fat one was still running things Ashworth would be having a cup of tea at Old Trafford right now.
  5. The pass for the first goal wasn't great but it's the sort modern keepers regularly deal with, yesterday was pretty much all on Dubravka. It wasn't a great performance overall, but he made 2 errors leading to 2 goals. If there is any room leftover after getting a forward, right winger and left back in the summer, a more able deputy for Pope might be a decent idea.
  6. This is absolutely brilliant I was a bit ticked off till yesterday just because this could hamper any summer transfer plans we have. But what's really happening is a spineless stone-stepping git has been outed, ManUtd's and their great new project is being unapologetically told to go feck themselves in front of the whole world, and there is a very real prospect of being able to spend 100M more in the summer if they decide to pay up.
  7. Miley was good tonight, was trying to be more physical and put in some tackles. I'm sure he will get much better.
  8. If someone bids anything over 25M and he doesn't want to leave Mad Dog himself should be stuffing him in a suitcase.....
  9. Aye I think a newly promoted or lower half team could easily think his goals could make a huge difference for them. Not a lot of decent strikers going about these days injury record or not.
  10. Longstaff has been chipping in with goals but he's overall a shadow of the player he was before the injury. Or is it just so much easier when you have Joe and Bruno next to you instead of a 17 year old?
  11. Someone at the club has to have enough sense to tell him to forget about this season and sell that we will push on in the next one. Transition and all. Maybe Howe can quietly assure him that Miggy and Burn will not be starting next season.
  12. Yeah. Also in general the limitations of many of our players have come to the fore without the energy that compensated for them last season. Upgrade Miggy, Burn, Longstaff and Wilson in the summer. Or we will have a similar season to this again. Not as many injuries probably but there still will be some.
  13. Another very concerning home performance against a mediocre team. Bruno has been bailing us out. Currently we're a very average side without him and Gordon perhaps
  14. Ritchie frogot we aren't playing under Bruce, get back to the center line and go for the win you twat
  15. Agreed and you can't blame Burn for not having pace. When Howe will decide to act on this is the question
  16. As far as this game goes you can squarely put it on Dubravka That's been the story of this season though. Fatigue, lack of confidence, other factors. I dunno. Individual mistakes galore throughout
  17. Watching the replay of that goal, Dubs doesn't cover himself in glory but burn might as well have not been there either
