Scabs vs Eddie’s Weetabix Haired Scargill Supporters.

Oh well. Eddie's obviously got his way of doing things and he refuses to stand down players that have done well for him. It's clear as day Burn is not a long term solution for LB if NUFC have the ambition we say we do. Maybe giving him some more games from this luck forsaken season isn't the worst thing. -
Freaking Luton. Just when you thought they looked like having something about them.

Phillips cost West Ham another goal at the weekend minutes after coming on didn't he? That's two in two for him.

There's been zero indication so far that PIF have unreasonable expectations from this project. In fact everything so far shows they're building for long term sustainable success. Also, 400M across two years is hardly blockbuster stuff by today's standards. Nevertheless, with that we got CL football faster than anyone imagined, plus a cup final in his first full season.

Howe's not a 'elite' coach because he's not yet had the chance to be one. This boring rehtoric pushed by the likes of Simon Jordan in the media and picked up by Twitter nonces is tedious as hell. If you've had years at top and not won anything I understand people questioning your ability at that level. But if you've come in and changed the whole outlook and feel of the club whilst punching above your weight in the first couple of years and people start questioning you at the first sign of a hiccup, all it says is that they want you to fail. Probably because you're not their idea of a fancy looking, foreing sounding, twat acting 'top' manager. Twats.

Can't underestimate the impact of not having Tonali, Joe and Willock available for much of this season. Even just in terms of pure energy and how vital that is to our system. From the little we saw of Tonali I think it was clear that he's got a serious engine, surprising pace too at times. We've bascially seen nothing of the side that Eddie wanted to put out this season.

Trust Howe has been my default view generally. I do think most of these issues will be sorted out next season, unless we suffer another freak injury situation. The problem in this situation is that Tino has been class every time he's played And when he's come on for Burn he's made an instant impact. You can almost feel your bum lose the squeak a little when the ref's sub board goes up. -

It's not the same as last season. If Joe, Willock and Tonali were available there'd be tons more energy and press in the midfield. With how open the midfield now is, there's a lot more for the defence to deal with. If Eddie still can't see that then I'm a little worried for the first time. That's all. -

If Eddie starts Burn again it'll be the first time I'll have a serious question mark about him in me head. I don't even care if Burn actually starts and goes on to have a good game. Because the next game he's likely to land flat on his arse again. We all love BDB Eddie, it worked brilliantly one season but it's over, we knew this was the way it was going to be. -

Left the stadium on crutches apparently.... -
I agree with much of that but there are still big areas that need upgrading if we are to get back to the CL and compete. Miggy, Murphy, even Longstaff. Burn the most obvious one but we already have his replacement Howe just needs to get over the affair. There's the number 6 of course. And then a third striker obviously. So 4-5 good signings at least in the summer and move along some more of the deadwood. A lot of work.

Oh well. Did well to come back but that was still very concerning how we fell apart at home again. That Murphy chance in the end man... Really should have scored. If Burn starts again it'll be the first time I start questioning Howe. It's the most obvious thing in football right now that he's a complete liability.
