  1. Also thinks Tino is Almiro. He's gone completely senile
  2. That stupid goal has knocked the wind out of our sails a bit. We were looking good with a high energetic press and Chelsea were looking shite.
  3. A few links with Pedro Neto last couple of days, and he's just hobbled off injured yet again today. Good player but his fitness record has got to be worse than Wilson's.
  4. Yup. I think Dazzler got it right (except players are intangible assets not physical 🤓) Profit/loss on sale is recognized in that same period. Chelea's predicament is definitely real, and must be why they were flogging about Gallagher about in the summer and might end up selling him even if they dont want to. I don't know if they can keep extending contracts to spread out amoritization indefinitely, (Let's assume they're ok paying extra wages and sign on fees etc.) If their 'project' continues to falter you'd think the likes of Mudryk, Enzo etc might suddenylfancy a European transfer, that when things will get really interesting. Who knows if Saudi will keep helping them or even if players will want to go there next season.
  5. Agree with this. Unless someone comes in with a silly 20M+ bid I can see the club thinking along the same lines. If he stays fit and we make it into Europe he should get more playing time next season. I agree with the sentiment he might have been overhyped a litte bit, he does have some good qualities. Whether he's able to develop those into something that could see him break into the first team is another matter. Bruno, Joe, Willock, Tonali are physically on a completely different level than many established PL midfielders let alone youngsters trying to break into the starting eleven. A versatile squad player in another, hopefully, busy season is still something we need though and could tell us a lot more about how good he really could be.
  6. A Horse walks into a bar. The bartender says, “Hey, you’re in here a lot, are you an alcoholic?” The horse ponders for a minute then responds “I don’t think I am.” And poof, he disappears. This is where philosophy students start to snicker, as they’re familiar with Descartes’ famous postulate, “I think, therefore I am.” But telling you that first would be putting Descartes before the horse.
  7. My friend's starting a UFC style training gym for people with missing limbs. It's called the Partial Arts.
  8. Everton have the feel of that pesky little last piece of turd that wont go down the flush easy but everyone knows that down the drain is where it's going and where it should stay.
  9. The recently applied 5 year limit for amortisation would apply to extensions as well right? So if a 5 year contract was down to 3 years but you gave the player a 2 year extension, it wouldn't be amortized over 5 years again?
  10. Now only if there was an ICAEW member around to demistfy all this
  11. Robert man That goal he scored at Anfield, FA Cup I think it was? Impossible angle and range, and you can just tell he's getting ready to thump it and you think 'dont do it you stupid greedy bastid' and he absolutely hammers it into the top corner.
  12. And there's just not many natural goalscorers going around these days are there, even if you have the room to splunk 80-100M on one. I just hope he's can sort out his fitness issues. Next season will be key when we have a better squad and a more manageable injury/fixture situation. If he still misses a considerable part of it there will be concerns. I get PL's point on him not being too involved in the game these days though. You'd think as confidence returns to the squad and we start playing a little like early in the season/last season again and Isak's own match fitness returns that will change.
  13. City have more shots than ManUtd's possession % Ten Hag really is a gift.
  14. Infuriating isn't it Haaland just missed an open goal ffs. These will hand Liverpool the title. And I wouldn't be surprised if Manu knicked a CL spot in the end.
  15. The feeling you got yesterday watching the difference Willock made was that put Joelinton in there and we'd be absolutely smashing them in midfield. Which is what happened to most teams last season. We'll be back to it next season, especially factoring Tonali in.
  16. The engine on this lad is something else. I mean let alone the goal contributions, throughout the injury crisis he's been an ever present playing across the front line. Carrying the ball and running at people constantly is one of the most exhausting things in football. Doing that non stop playing a ton of games in an injury ravaged squad and coming with goals and assists. Just brilliant. And he's till very young, no doubt some of the raw areas of his game will improve. And yes I will say it. The contrast with ASM couldn't be more stark.
  17. Aye he's rapid and has greet feet. One of those rare players that seem to just glide past people. He's been quite decent defensively too, obviously the pace helps. Aggression and tenacity can come with experience.
  18. Dubravka made a couple of key saves again when they were on top. Fair play to him after the Bournemouth performance.
