1. Im not too disappointed with today's performance. I thought most players did ok. Parker was poor though, and ramage and solano were absolutely awful. But lets be fair, man utd were absolutely magnificient today. They would have beaten every single team in the league today, and we should be glad we only lost 2-0 it could have easily been 6 or 7
2. mate, he hasn't been a tenth of what he was at newcastle for blackburn
3. So typical of people getting carried away with a successful season. What makes them think they have made it to the top after just one relatively successfu; season?? Balckburn should know better than anyone, with their title win and the constant struggle to stay in the league from then on. And look at everton, the way their fans were shouting about last season. Serves them right. I cant help but think teams like blackburn, wigan and west ham will struggle in the future no matter how successful a season they have. And bellamy is an ass for saying things like that, lets see how blackburn and newcastle compare over the next few seasons. And lets see how many games bellamy plays in that time. He's talking as if he's been their major player this season. He's been rubbish(when fit) apart from saturday.
4. He's their best player in that position, by quite a bit. I agree he's not a good captain, though I'd be interested to see him as captain under a manager other than the pandering cock, Sven. 101226 He is, im not saying he shouldn't be in the team. I just think he's not captain material, under whatever manager. He just isn't nearly as involved in a game that people like terry and gerrard are, or even lampard.
5. isn't that the video called "geordie pride"?????
6. makelele might have something to say about that or did you mean english defensive midfielder?
7. unless we put in 7 performances like against the Argies recently ... then it'll probably be the same old story. We'll get out of the group stages, and then be bullied about by a big nation, like Brazil in 2002 or Portugal in 2004. 100749 you have a great team, capable of winning the world cup but not under sven and not with beckham as captain. Both of them are extremely overrated 100751 Beckham is quality. He gets excessive press coverage cos he happens to be a good looking lad ( ) but he's not overrated. He's a top top player. 100764 I disagree. Beckham is a very incomplete player. He cannot tackle, he cannot head, he doesn't have pace, he hardly shoots well from open play, he is a poor finisher and he often lets you down in big games. Saying that he is probably the best passer and set piece taker in the game today. That aspect of his game makes him a very good player, but not a top top player. Top top players are people like ronaldinho, henry, gerrard who can turn it on when it is needed and who dont have to wait for the game to be set up to their liking. I never said beckham is a bad player, he is easily good enough to be in the england team. But not as captain. Tell me how many people seriously think beckham is a better captain than the likes of terry and gerrard??
8. had me off me seat shouting like mad and nearly causing me ma to have a heart attack makes my weekend really, simply stunning cant wait to download it

10. I agree with Craig, one cant help but think if sven is mental when he picks people like richardson and carrick and crouch yet keeps on ignoring parker. I really dont give england a chance at the world cup with him at the helm, he's daft to be honest
11. very average first half performance to be honest, everton could have scored two or three goals. I was quite worried at the break but the second half was fantastic, quite unlike newcastle this season the second goal from nobby was an absolute beauty, took me breath away really and well done zoggy again, fanstastic run and cross to set up nobby for the first goal
12. Up front on his own????? 99451 few people can play worse than ameobi on his own but a luque ameobi partnership would do for today 99454 I find Shola plays better leading the line tbh. 99456 could be but i think we really should take a gamble on luque. The guy was quality in spain, he's got such great ability and technical skill. He isn't getting the chance here. Take the example of peter crouch, rubbish for liverpool for such a long time. but they had faith in him. surely you have got to have faith in someone you have paid so much for?? now crouch has started to play well, and he hasnt got a tenth of the ability of luque. Im not saying luque will definitely succeed here. but it will be such a pity if we dont give him the chance to. We have to put aside this lazy foreigner thing to be honest
13. Up front on his own????? 99451 few people can play worse than ameobi on his own but a luque ameobi partnership would do for today
14. ameobi's been trying for years, its clear he just hasnt got what it takes to be a top striker. Can we have luque have a go now please??
15. when's the kick off?? And yes this luque thing is stupid, why wont he be given a proper chance when all other forwards seem to be struggling??
16. Name says it all, a compilation of some of the most cracking newcastle goals over the years and nothing else. Due to a shortage of clips i've had to rip apart some of pedro's compilations to create clips, I hope he doesn't mind. Rapidshare Link YouSendit Link Hope you like it
17. dont know what to feel really.. we'll get beat again probably but just imagine if we beat them
18. Excellent first half performance, very shaky second half though. Dyer looked good all along, solano was great in the first half but went missing in the second, n'zogbia was easily our best player. the rest had average games. Bramble and boumsong looked shaky at the back, so did the full backs at times. The goal was great to watch, superb run from n'zogbia finished off very well buy dyer. given pulled off another magnificient save in the second half. The man's a bloody legend On the whole, im delighted we're through but that second half performance was far from convincing.
19. thanks lads, not as good as pele but 404 is no joke especially considering that injury. But people forget something, alan shearer has played for southampton, blackburn and newcastle. All of which for the most part have been nothing more than average teams with average players. One can confidently say if he had the kind of service the peles and van bastens got he would have scored more. Im not saying he's as good as them because he certainly isn't, but shearer's stats, astonishing as they are dont convey the whole picture. Now anyone know where to get the stats for today's other greats like henry and van nistelrooy?? Im looking at sites but help would be appreciated. Doing a little research for our mini football society here
20. Yet another record broken by the great man yesterday. Couldn't be happier for him. Also couldn't help wondering how many goals has he exactly scored in his career? This would include all competitions for all clubs and the internationals. Would love to see that one figure. Anybody know where to get these stats??
21. shearer doing his thing as assistant manager no doubt
22. thanks heavens for this blessed day, we can actually look forward to something now.
23. You're 12 then? 82936 A bit older than that actually. I know what you are trying to say, my post may have seemed immateur to some people but I found it a bit strange how so many have failed to grasp the non-seriousness in it which should have been so obvious.
