  1. Do you get a good idea of the atmosphere from the media on that site? Out of interest. Nah, just changed servers. Old board had over 1000 members, its gone down for some reason and most people probably think the site must have shut down. But it'll get there And it didnt get shut down because of all the copyright crap.
  2. I'll offer him my armchair once he gets here I say, that's awfully decent of you, especially after he has been so awful to you (you wouldn't booby-trap the armchair would you?) A whoopie cushion ought to teach him
  3. Only the fans who go to the match like. Wankers, all of you. Gemmill needs to go to pakistan to establish proper perspective. I'll offer him my armchair once he gets here By the way I dont think the fans make anyone feel lazy, but sometimes they can have an effect on player confidence. Titus' case for example. Having said that good players learn to deal with that, Titus' or anyone else's inability to do so means they are not fit for playing at this level.
  4. I dont think we get the full picture! But a fair enough idea of what was going on you do get. Look, so maybe my first post came out as pompous. If so excuse me and forgive me, wasnt my intention at all. I made it 10 minutes after the game and I was a fair bit frustrated and perhaps not as careful with words as I should have been. But some of the response was still unwarranted. It seems to me that leaning towards a slightly different opninon on this board is asking for trouble. Not just my posts, I know you lads think Im crazy, but Ive noticed anybody who seems to have a, lets say 'revolutionary idea' gest a fair bit of stick. This place reminds me of a group of old Grandma's sitting together, everybody sharing their common problems and past experiences with each other and congratulating each other on their wisdom and how well they've done with their kids and all that. Anybody who says 'well, I think this or that could have been done differently' is kicked out. That's bollocks, I get disagreed with constantly, and I disagree with other people constantly. I still don't feel like I'm being persecuted, and many of those I disagree with seem pretty sound people. Fact is, the more you rise to it, the more people are going to try and provoke you. Personally I just stop reading threads I'm involved in where it's starting to degenerate into bickering. I think most people here know it's all just tongue-in-cheek to an extent, and just enjoy the arguing. I know that whenever I personally say something iffy it's usually with the intention of winding up (works, too), rather than your genuine supercilliousness. Nice to hear some abuse free stuff from you, sense as well. Not about my post being bullocks of course but the rest of it In fact I'll take your advice and stop reading this thread now. This forum is shit tbh. Too many people agreeing with each other. Crap Im reading the thread again.

Please don't tell me you're that stupid that you make a comment like you did without expecting people's backs to be up as a result? Your comment about the people being there being the "12th man to the opposition" is frankly insulting to those who've paid their money to go. I'm not in the least bit surprised they responded the way they did. Probably wouldnt have said it had I made the post an hour or so after the game. But it was five minutes after, I was fuming, and I felt the crowd was....erm....you know. I admitt that comment was unfair, and Ive apologized for it. But I stubbornly stand by everything else Ive said
  7. Disaster for Pakistan cricket. Now I know how the scum must have felt after Ferdinand's ban. Except they had people to step in and we dont really. And all this with the world cup around the corner and us having a real chance. Dont see us doing too well in the Carribean now. Thats Shoaib gone I think. Asif was looking so good and this will hamper his career considerably. Both should be skinned alive to be honest, such a careless attitude at such a vital time As if the problems with Nufc werent enough..........

  9. Unlike you, I was there yesterday and I can categorically say there was no booing whatsoever until the final whistle, when boong is perfectly acceptable imo. You have absolutely no rights to criticise the people going to the match when you have no way of knowing what actually happened, let alone contributed anything yourself. Actually, you do have the right to say what you think (which is based on what, exactly?), but that doesn't mean you aren't talking absolute bollocks, does it? Have know way of knowing what had happened? What do you think Im sitting in an Igloo here? Why is it that armchair fans can't accept that the reason people actually do go to games is ther might possibly be a difference in the experience ie real versus imaginary? There is. But that doesnt mean the full picture doesnt come out on the TV. Plus there's the internet etc these days through which you can really get to know what happened from the eyes of people who were there cant you?

  11. Suppose somebody murders a person at St James' one day. So I would have no right in saying he did something wrong because I wasnt there? What this about rights? Ive got the right to say whatever I like. I would have thought the murder was wrong and I would have said it. I think the booing was wrong so I said it. I didnt even insult a fan or say that they're asses for doing this, all I said was that this does the teams performance no good and they should hold thier frustration till the game ends. But I still manager to draw out a reaction from the likes of Gemmil that suggested I had insulted his mother.
  12. He's entitled to tell me how the crowd should and shouldn't react when he has to fork out to go and watch that turd every week. Until then, I'm entitled to tell him to fuck off. Great word-play with the knee jerk to jerk thing btw. I see what you did there. I wasnt telling anyone to do this or that. I was expressing my opinion as regards the crowd's behaviour. And I didnt say anyone had to agree with me. I would love to go and fork out even to watch that 'turd' every week. Most of you people dont realise how frustrating it can be for lads like myself, isolated as far as football goes let alone NUFC. And then nobody is forcing you to go watch at St James' are they? Oh, sorry, you are that superfan who has to go watch every game and think himself holy and above others who either dont go or dont have an option of going Those people may not have the option of doing so, and they may be putting in effort/time/money in another way as best as possible. So those who think themselves holy for splashing out on the club should wait a minute and think how much they know about the other person before slagging him off. Opinion aye opinion thats it!!! This is a message board, where people post thier opinions and discuss matters. Do I have to pin an 'imo' with every line to make you lads understand Im not 'telling you what to do!'. If all of us thought the same this place wouldnt exist. I never say anybody has to agree with what I say. So some of you dont like my opinion or what I think, fair enough just say so. But there seems to be a slagging off match everytime. Sorry but it kind of reminds of the intolerant attitude of most Western nations that think their style of life and their values are the best and should be imposed on all others. Wont discuss politics here because God know what that would brew up. I know its not all of you, so sorry again. I understand most of the hatred comes from you not liking my opinion or what I post, but these replies to signify a certain amount of intolerance towards other opinions. A simple 'no, I disagree' with you does the job, what I get is again, intolerance. And patrokles seems to have been hired to get rid of me it seems. Have to say it was a rather poor appointment because he cant seem to come up with more than one line answers that just say, "Fuck off' or "Go to hell". Will have to do a bit better than that.
  13. Glad to see some of you have replied in the typical manner Ive come to expect from you. The over ambition thing is a matter of opinion isnt it? Ive always felt expectations here have been way over the top, the way we thought we would win the league after finishing 3rd and 4th. We were never good enough to do that. There have been other reasons yes, incompetent chairman and manager and transfer mayhem, but to me overambition is in there as well. We seemed to think we have a holy right on trophies, always putting huge pressure on the management. Perhaps overambitious was the wrong word to use, but I feel expectations here have played a role in our downfall.
  14. So tell me,why wasnt this carried on to greater glory? What a silly question! There were a thousand reasons! The main one being our players werent good enough to win the title and that they were playing at their maximum! Despite all the good things we did at that time we were never as good as team like Man U or Arenal. Only an idiot would have expected us to win the league at the time. We needed to cement our position in the top 4 of England, instead we were over ambitious and ended up loosing even what we had.
  15. Finishing 3rd and 4rth and getting results against the likes of inter and juve! No hype to be honest, it was very real and it was great. loved every minute of it, what I wouldnt give now for those times to return
  16. 9 years? Things were pretty good until about 4 sessons ago!
  17. I understand as well as anyone how frustrating things are at the moment. But the crowds behaviour towards the team is almost becoming as pathetic as the team itself. There are anxious ooohs aaahs and general impatience from minute 1. Not to mention we get on the back of players like Bramble and that does thier confidence no good. Everybody knows what a clown he is but we can save it for after the game cant we? This is the time when the team needs its fans behind it, and we are doing completely the opposite! Its hard yes but its what should be done. We let out the frustration amongst ourselves, whats the point of letting the team know infront of the whole world that we hate thier guts! Want to protest agains the manager or the chairman, it should be done after or before games as a proper protest and not angry chants during the game that demoralise everyone. When a game starts, we should get completely behind the team so they can play with as much confidence as possible. At the moment we are a 12th man to the other team.
  18. Well, first of all I'd like to know what God has against us. Dont know how we didnt manage to score in the first 65 minutes. We were pathetic after that as usual, and what was more worrying than that part of the performance was Roeder's lack of passion or indeed lack of eagerness to try and change the game. He just sits there the whole 90 minutes with the same expression, waiting for things to happen. We all understand we've got injury problems and all that. When the commentator said during the game we had 5 first team payers out today apart from Owen and Given, I felt a wave of sympathy for Glen. How much can he do with 7 starting players out? But by the end of the game all the questions against him were back. Firstly his lack of passion stated above. Then the fact that he doesnt seem to be able to do anything about our teams tendency of completely fading away during the end of the game. Its happened in 80% of the games so far this season, yet its still happens the next game. How thick is our management? For the last half an hour or so most of our players looked tired and most lacked creativity and drive. It was obvious something needed to be done. The way the likes of Duff, Rossi, N'Zogbia and Solano struggled in the end, even the like of Luque might have freshened things up. Why werent he or Milner introduced(earlier in his case) when they couldnt have possibly done any worse than the current ones on the pitch? He could have even gone for 3 upfront and taken off somebody like Butt. I mean show some invention, some desire to get something for the game! The fact is this, he's proving game after game he's got no guts, no creativity as a manger and he cant correct some very obvious faults in the team. We know we're not enjoying the greatest luck at the moment, hitting the post in every game and all the injuries, but there's no excuse for the above facts. In a nutshell, Roeder is senile and is a dud. ROEDER OUT! SHEPHERD OUT!
  19. Yep, N'Zogbia and Dyer are more than okay in the centre provided they stay fit of course. Butt's been nothing but disappointing for us.
  20. Bloody hell its difficult enough scoring against them already
  21. Didnt read anything in the match reports. Surely would have gotten a mention if he'd elbowed the guy or something like that.
