Here's a nice compilation I found, cant remember who made it but must have been either Pedro or Jonny's work. Shows his best moments at Newcastle and brings back a ton of memories, thought it'd be worth sharing. Didnt work on youtube etc, so here's a direct link, (cant figure out how to embed it ) Gary Speed Farewell.wmv - 26.01MB

How bloody similar was that game to ours last night
-
Possible, but they spent so many years together, don't know how Shay's found the strength to play today. Tough situation. Game really should have been put off imo....
-
I was annoyed at him at the time too, but watching the incident later again Rooney's second kick at Colo was shocking and I cant help but like HBA for going up there and calling the guy mental to his face.
-
I'd guess/hope they've asked all the players involved and they've said they think its right to play as they have good reason not to. Totally agree about princess Di, it was an absolute joke that it was even thought to cancel any sporting events nevermind do it, who the fuck were these players who couldn't play football because a woman who is no relation or connected to them in anyway has died, it was farcical. Given seemed distraught

Top player and a great professional. Last person I would have marked down for suicide. Shocking.

Great bloody Odin's bloody raven!! I never thought I'd ever see us defend like that! That was an incredible performance, defensively at least! S.Taylor's last second interception, the clearance of the line by Simpson, and Coloccini generally immense overall. Raylor was all over the place at times, he's completely out of his league to be honest, and it sad to see the effect its having on Jonas' games. He's been poor going forward recently because he has to put in an intense defensive shift to help out his LB. Anyway dont want to get on anybody's case too much after this performance. First half was so good! We were confident and passing the ball around and creating spaces. Horrible luck on their goal but bless that linesman for the penalty decision Another thing never thought I'd see, a penalty like that given at Old Trafford! Silly tackle from Jonas and would have cost us any other day, but the lad worked his socks off again. Rooney really is a prick, kicking out like that at Colo. Ben Arfa showed flashed of quality again though overall was not as much in the game as at City. Would love to see how he does at SJP now with us playing a bit more freely. Immensely proud overall

Im just glad Scholes is gone...... Hopefully it will be Obertan in for Sammy and HBA supporting Ba upfront, if we cut out any individual errors we have a real chance. Or like some others have said the ref will probably give away a shite penalty

In a season's time it'll be Liverpool's attacking play. Thats always the bottom line now isnt it, cant really look to the future with optimism because you know anything special we get going will be converted into cash and we'll be back in mediocre land in no time. No doubt if HBA gets anywhere near his potential we wont be able to hold on to him, that is, we wont even try to.

The piece of skill at 1:57 , class! How many people in this league can do that? Really really hope he starts on Saturday....

Pardew - two players max to come in during the January window
aimaad22 replied to Monroe Transfer's topic in Newcastle Forum
Didn't have to. Deal suited both parties just fine iyam. Thats the reason the club gave us though, Pards' statement shows it was the money though. We all agreed the money was too good to turn down, just doesnt make for a good outlook though when you are selling your best players. If Tiote went for 30M I'd still be pretty pissed because we are not going to get as lucky every time with our replacements. -
I think we have a chance in both games! Man Utd looking far from impressive, though it would be so bloody typical for them to get back into form against us. With Tiote and Cabaye back together and Ben Arfa hopefully building on yesterday's performance it could be a very interesting game at Old Trafford. Seems a bit harsh on poor Raylor but the thought of him against Nani or Young is scary though and probably the area where we might come undone.

Pardew - two players max to come in during the January window

Bleh, his comments seem to be inviting bids for the cash rich clubs to come in and get the likes of Tiote and Coloccini. Pointless talking about this now, but it also goes to show Carroll was sold as part of our new transfer 'policy' and not because he wanted to go. -
HBA was different class. [/Pulp] He is as good as Nasri. The problem with Raylor has been brewing but has been disguised by the odd good free kick and that goal. A lot of what Raylor has got away with is cause Guti has been doing half his defending. When Guti has an average game (the last two) then Raylor suffers. Yup agreed, thats just what I said in the other thread Taylor thread.

Lets's not forget about Jonas either, Taylor doesnt even play at LB alone, Jonas' main role seems to be ensuring his full back doesn't get embarrassed too often. Our formation should read 4.5 - 3.5 - 2 Taylor's been exposed time and time again this season by some of the better sides, was only a matter of time before this happened, he just isnt good enough. I like the lad, seems to try hard enough, wish he could do well but he just doesnt have the ability. Either give Santon a chance at LB, or find a bloody new full back in January. Not going to fun seeing him against Nani/Young etc next game either.

Well, cant remember the last time I saw as bad a performance as the one from Raylor today. And Im not saying that because Im pissed, I thought we did ok, it was just a lot of individual errors and missed chances. But let alone the errors, his passing, movement, everything, was so awful today. And it was coming as well, we all know he'll never make a good full back. Matter of time before a class team exposed the fact. Santon needs to be given exposure, he cant be worse than Ryan. Some of us argued about Ben Arfa coming in for Obertan after the Everton game, and some said why break up a winning team. Well I think Ben Arfa was easily our best player today, the only one who looked to run at them and had confidence enough in his ability to take them on. Sad he fluffed that finish though. If Santon is a natural full back he really should be coming in and getting a few games under his belt. Overall wasnt a bad performance though was it? Could have been a very different game had we taken our chances, City didnt threaten anywhere as much as they usually do and all their goals were as a result of individual errors. Pardew really ought to have a go at Man Utd, they've looked vulnerable all season and we showed today we can cause the best of team a few problems.

I think Flair has come the closest with his answer. At least as far as Pakistan/India are concerned. 1. No facilities/grounds etc. And where you do its like playing on a hardcourt, grass is a luxury. 2. Cant make a living off the sport. Not even a chance. 3. Weather. Trying playing football at 50 degrees Celsius, you'll have a stroke in 15 minutes. 4. 60% of the population struggling for food and water, the rest desperately trying to stay clear of that 60%. Sports are not a priority. 5. Exposure. Barely anyone followed European League's 10-12 years ago, there was virtually no interest in the game. This will change soon, already has perhaps. Every little kid is now a fan of one club or the other. Reason is now you can get a cable package with channels broadcasting Spanish, English, Italian, CL, International games for as little as 2-3 quid per month. 6. Because there was no awareness and interest, that all important sporting 'culture' you need does not exist. This hold true for South Asian states, as for Japan/Korea/China I guess its the culture thing, and you can already see its changing because of the TV explosion.

Yes, you do. Plastered all over the roof? The Emirates was done reasonably tastefully, not to mention that Arsenal wouldn't be associated with such a down market brand as their stadium sponsor. Exactly. Vast differences between the two. Our's looks bloody ridiculous for the love of God!

Lambias' vow that St James' Park would always remain in the name.... http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/teams/n/newcastle_united/8342406.stm Such blatant lies, time after time after time.
-
The stadium looks bloody ridiculous, did they have to stamp sports direct on every place possible?(if the pictures on Sky are accurate) It looks so cheap, it could have been done in a professional manner. Don't see Emirates smacked all over like that on the Arsenal stadium. The renaming thing was always going to happen with Ashley, and the timing is lovely, cant see us happy for a few weeks can he? What a joke, how the bloody hell will 8-10M help if you are not ready to re-invest 35M? More lies, nothing but lies. No words to describe my feelings for these two bastards....

They'll add you with your full points. Yup thankfully! Another rotten weak still though, thank goodness for Agbanlahor!

joined in just now, though been playing since gameweek 1. So will they add me according to the total points or make me start from zero? A bit pointless if its the latter!
