At a free we should have a look while otherwise I agree it wouldnt fit in with this new transfer policy we seem to have. Similar situation going on with Corluka and Kranjcar at Spurs. Some papers saying both of them could be off for a combined 10M. Thats not a bad deal imo. But again we probably wont be interested for reasons discussed already. Thats fine if we continue to hit the mark with the lower profile European signings but it may not be a bad idea to have a look at some proven players available on the cheap at the same time.

What about Bosingwa? Surely he'd be worth a shot too especially considering the Simpson situation and the same arguments related to Kalou's wages would apply to him. Mind a lot of clubs will probably be interested in these two and many of them willing to offer more than us.

Been reading in a couple of places that we're interested in Tasci, the Stuttgart central defener. Nothing credible, but would seem to fit our transfer criteria. Low profile, technically excellent, experienced enough while still has his best years ahead of him.

Surprised Fulham's Dembele isn't getting linked with anyone much. Admittedly I haven't seem too much of Fulham but he's looked absolute class whenever I have.

I think some would see it as further belittling the competition, seeing as then the main prize would be qualification for the CL and not the title itself. No doubt it would make the clubs take it more seriously though.

Aye, its worrying how at times we just dont seem to turn up. However overall in general we've shown much more consistency and steel this year.

Top marks to Pards, done a brilliant job and made a fair few of us eat humble pie, including myself. Agree with the last para on the last post, hopefully the players will see that there's the foundation for something special here.

Been impressed with him since day one, yes he looked a bit iffy at first but you could see the potential was there even then and he seems to be getting better with each game now. Hopefully the injuries will stay away next season.
