The transfer money just keeps on getting crazier. He's rejected West Ham's offer according to Sky.

Scholes' goal v Villa wasnt bad either, and the Drogba strike against Everton was neat as well.

Out of it totally the kid, overweight and can't pass piss & wobbles like a weeble Going by the commentaor's mention of names during the plays you'd have thought Pattison wasn't even there, I think his name was mentioned once in the second half. He just hasn't got it! To be fair watching it on TV you would have seen he did more of a defensive job. I think he was asked to double up with Hunty on Chimpbonda and Lennon Shhh....some people dont like to hear what fans who watched the game on the tele have to say
-
Read one Spurs fan saying Given should have been sent off in the Butt- Chimbonda incident

Out of interest, what's less "user friendly" about this place then? Gemmill He posts here more than NO I think Gemmill is much more friendly on here tttt. Lucky me

Brilliant, we were up against it for most of the game but we held on and showed great spirit for the second league game running. Long may this continue. Oh and the away fans were absolutely................ just remembered Im not allowed to comment on that Some people would want the goals, my sig might be of help

Fantastic player, quite a few people called him the best full back in the league last season. Even if he were available, a lot of big clubs would be in for him leaving us with a tincy wincy chance.

Lauren looks to be on of his way out of Arsenal, surely he would be a good addition to our squad?
-
What good is all the money if he's not making decisions on who to buy? I dont blame Mourinho for being unhappy if Arnesen and Ambramovich are busy spending millions on their fantasy players whom they expect him to play.

Very happy his performances this season, and let me make it absolutely clear that my opinion is based on TV coverage Edgar and Huntington need to work on their clearances though
-
great quality stuff thanks... where d'you get those?! Didnt know we're allowed to post those here, if so and people are interested, I could post clips of a lot of games. Erm, not wanting to be a Gemmill racist here, but what qualifies you to make that opinion? Where do you sit again? I thought the atmosphere was pretty negative during most of the match, as usual. I've got to admit though, ManU fans are superb when they're winning, but utterly shit when they are drawing or losing (very rare, I know). I suppose then, as Sam says, they must have turned up the mic volumes for the TV broadcast. My 'analysis' is always relative though, I suppose they have the same volume level for all the league games they broadcast. So while it may not have been the greatest by itself, it was wayyyyy better then any other game in the premiership Ive witnessed for a while. I definitely think the deflection Scholes got was bigger, the ball went straight in the middle instead of the right corner and did Given. Edgar'shot moved a bit after hitting the Scholes, but didnt change course like that. Both were lucky in the end though.

I think he's a N-O exclusive, havent seen him on here. I was of the opinion that, before the season started, defenders should have been the main priority and only then should we have gone for a striker. But quite a few people thought otherwise, while everyone acknowledged we needed a decent pair of defenders they wanted a striker first. Still dont get that I dont. NE5 = Leazesmag Ah Ive often criticized Roeder for not displaying enough guts at times, and his lack of emotion during games. He certainly got the lads going today, and had them have a right go at the scum. Keep it up Glen.

With the side we put out today, fantastic result! And while our passing was shocking at times, the way the young lads took the game to them and played their hearts out was superb! Even Sibierski went for a few diving tackles, should have scored near the end of the first half though. We scored two great goals today, slightly lucky with the deflection in the Edgar goal but it was nothing compared to the one Scholes got on his second goal. I hate Scholes, but he's one hell of a player. Full credit to Roeder, who had the lads have a go at them against all odds. And just for the record, the atmosphere at St James', especially after our second, was incredible

West Ham 3-0 down now. Great to see Bolton get completely outplayed as well
-
Crouch seems to have a weird knack of scoring from overhead kicks. Poor West Ham, looking really glum for them.
-
We definitely need a striker, but not as much as a decent defender IMO!

To be fair though is anyone at all really surprised we are in this mess? Anyone can look back through the posts during the transfer window and see that there were concerns going into the season with only 6 recognised first team defenders of whom 4 have consistently been on the treatment table and the other two (Ramage and Taylor) being young boys with little experience at this level. I do not dispute Roeder can be a "nice" guy, however IMO he cannot complain about the lack of players at his disposal as he could have helped prevent something that was so clear to see last August. I was baffled at the fact he didnt sign any defenders, it would have been obvious to a three year old that we needed to strengthen at the back. But he couldnt have anticipated that we would have so many players injured at a time, no one could have. I mean, six or seven players out would be a major injury disaster, but we've played games this season with around 13 people out which is ridiculous. And to be fair to him, while he has praised clowns like Bramble, he's also come out and admitted the defence was at fault everytime they mess up. The same happened at Saturday, he clearly stated we conceded poor goals which he was disappointed with.

Agreed. My point is if we're going to have a 'lesser' manager its something of a consolation knowing he's one of the most dignified ones out there. Gemmball are you reading? 'We're' meaning NUFC supporters, not Geordies.
-
You could probably push for an FA probe into Gemmill's behaviour. Im afraid he might be heralded as something of a NUFC hero after they hear the story, so no thanks.

Ive been highly impressed with the way Roeder's conducted himself throughout the season so far, most of which has been chaotic. He's had probably the worst luck imaginable with injuries, but unlike Souness he doesnt blame them for the team's performance and points out what went wrong and needs to be fixed. In the Everton post match interview he was asked how we're going to deal with the ridiculous injury list especially after Ramage's loss and he calmly replied that Butt will fill in that role. All of us expect to be hammered by the scum tomorrow, how easy must it have been for Roeder to start whinging about the players out and how anyone would have struggled in such a situation, almost excusing himself from a probable ManUtd defeat. I think Roeder realises that kind of attitude would have been confidence draining for the currently fit players, and its important to show them that he's got faith in them. And its not just his attitude towards the injury situation that is pleasing, its also refreshing to see someone conduct himself in such a dignified manner under such considerable pressure. Its often funny to see managers act like little babies at times, fuss and fume over each other and what not. Cant remember Roeder ever involving himself in such a situation, acts like a true mature grown up. Im, like most other fans I suppose, far from convinced about his managing capabilities; and Im not saying he should be our manager just because he's a gentleman, but its good to have a such a respectable man at the helm. Would abosutely love for him to go and prove himself a great manager here, even though Im far from sure he will.
