  1. Would make an incredible pairing I think as their styles should complement each other.
  2. And he came quite cheap I think. Was surprised at that because he was highly rated even before coming to City and a number of the big boys were supposed to be after him.
  3. His type of player running down the middle behind Rooney is exactly what Man Utd need. They've been lacking spark in midfield for quite a while now.
  4. At least Lescott's one of the better defenders in the league, and their central defence got sorted with his signing. But Milner for 26M? Thats more than they paid for Toure and Silva isnt it? Beggars belief. This and what Liverpool paid for their English players during last summer. The people sanctioning these moves need shooting.
  5. They got Milner for 26M?
  6. Funny the discussion we were having before the game about underestimating Wigan and how some thought this would be a very hard game. This is still bloody ridiculous though.
  7. 'Requesting permission to land on planet earth, do you read me, requesting permission to land on planet..........' BANG!!!!
  8. Was speaking in general. Winning seven games in a row is the kind of form you expect from league champions. On form I expect us to win too but for reasons discussed above this game is not as simple as it seems.
  9. I can see people predicting us to win the league next year at this rate
  10. Probably that we're due a loss and a poor performance, and Wigan are fighting for their lives! But at least these days we know the lads will have a right go no matter what.
  11. Finishing 4th and Chelsea taking the CL would be heartbreaking but I keep reminding myself just how brilliant a top 6 seems when you go back to the start of the season.
  12. Have to say Marveux because Obertan doesn't usually seem to have the courage to take on defenders. Let alone all his other shortcomings.
  13. Yup. Haven't been posting regularly myself so not really into the new themes etc. By the way any way of turning off this black highlighted quotes thing, looked better before
  14. That coloured in the quotes of the message board. I was talking about the Cisse quotes Jon posted in normal text. I guess thats just a problem with the white background like he said then?
  15. Don't say that yet! You'll curse us into finishing 4th and then Chelsea taking the CL
  16. You gota love the concept of God supposed to be playing baby sitter to everyone and making sure everything is fine and dandy and that his job is to make sure we are all happy and jumping with joy. The concept behind most faiths is that life is a test, for the real world to come. And here we are judging Him on what is actually supposed to be our test. Doesn't make much sense to me.
  17. Ah so the theme is the problem! Using the white one.
  18. Is it just me or are the quotes illegible? Change the font colour mate!
  19. This. This is the first time in a long time we've looked like a proper club that with the ability to challenge for something big. Stability is key now, never thought I'd say this but we need the fat one now. As long as he doesn't show his face too often
  20. I know Colo is well thought of here but in general I dont think many people realize just how good he is. By far the most comfortable defender on the ball in this league and one of those players who makes everyone else around him seem better than they are. Santon was something else yesterday as well.
  21. Best thing is we're doing it in style as well! Its a nice change to see everyone talking about just how good this team is on whatever website you go. A fair few of us are eating humble pie, but it sure tastes good!
  22. Al Habsi (Wigan) Johnson (Liverpool) Kompany (Man City) Coloccini (Newcastle) Baines (Everton) Mata (Chelsea) Sigurdsson (Swansea) Dembele (Fulham) Bale (Spurs) Van Persie (Arsenal) Rooney (Man Utd) Subs: Robinson (Balckburn) Shawcross (Stoke) Holt (Norwich) Warnock (Villa) Jarvis (Wolves) M.Petrov (Bolton) Sessegnon (Sunderland)
