1. Not to mention asking a German to come up with the new solution Bad timing and all maybe, but the guy is bloody thick. Makes you think there's no problem left in world football that the President of Fifa has time to come up with shite like this.
2. The interest on the debt would affect the profit mate, the repayment of the debt itself would have no effect on the figure as Gemmil said. That would just hit the company's reserve from which they repay the loan.
3. Aye plus the profit figure doesn't exactly mean thats the amount of 'free money' or cash we have that he can just pocket and run away with. .
4. Just a fall back in case this Debuchy thing doesn't work out. Not the ideal signing no but he's still decent quality and at 28 has a good few years ahead of him. At a free we should have a look while otherwise I agree it wouldnt fit in with this new transfer policy we seem to have. Similar situation going on with Corluka and Kranjcar at Spurs. Some papers saying both of them could be off for a combined 10M. Thats not a bad deal imo. But again we probably wont be interested for reasons discussed already. Thats fine if we continue to hit the mark with the lower profile European signings but it may not be a bad idea to have a look at some proven players available on the cheap at the same time.
5. What about Bosingwa? Surely he'd be worth a shot too especially considering the Simpson situation and the same arguments related to Kalou's wages would apply to him. Mind a lot of clubs will probably be interested in these two and many of them willing to offer more than us.
6. Been reading in a couple of places that we're interested in Tasci, the Stuttgart central defener. Nothing credible, but would seem to fit our transfer criteria. Low profile, technically excellent, experienced enough while still has his best years ahead of him.
7. Somebody should let them know WWII is over.
8. Surprised Fulham's Dembele isn't getting linked with anyone much. Admittedly I haven't seem too much of Fulham but he's looked absolute class whenever I have.
9. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/chelsea/9279270/John-Terry-takes-his-rightful-place-in-history-as-an-Apollo-astronaut-Usain-Bolt-and-and-a-multi-Grammy-winner.html
10. Where did that great wallpaper thread go? And anyone know a site to get some decent nufc ones? Google all you like can't seem to find too many real quality ones.
11. Sad news. Was hoping we wouldnt have to worry about Liverpool next season, who knows now.
12. Shouldn't play him at all in any other league game for the next 10 years so we can keep using him against Sunderland.
13. .......Downing..... Not the worst team ever but somehow dont see them clicking well together.
14. I think some would see it as further belittling the competition, seeing as then the main prize would be qualification for the CL and not the title itself. No doubt it would make the clubs take it more seriously though.
15. Good stuff
16. Aye, its worrying how at times we just dont seem to turn up. However overall in general we've shown much more consistency and steel this year.
17. Clowning around in general during the celebrations. Oh and I think he got the assist for the winning goal.
18. Disappointing game. Should have run it close at least. Anyway what can you say in the end bloody great season overall.
19. Incredible stuff, love em or hate him I think overall City have been the best team in the league. ManU certainly didnt deserve it with the way they've been playing.
20. Well he doesnt literally have to say shove off, it could be done with subtlety You're right, it is a fact and like I said we are well aware of it. Just having to listen to it and seeing it appear on news pages every week makes it seems a bit like an invitation to bid, quite literally!
