Havent seen too much of him but he's a different type of player from Ba/Cisse isnt he? So hopefully we wont have the same problem we had with the Dembas playing together. Now to sign a CB. A decent winger wouldnt hurt either but that would be asking for too much now wouldnt it

Aye, been very unimpressed with Shane when Ive seen him play.Will give him the benefit of the doubt of course until he gets a good run in the team but he is far far away from deserving anything of the sort at the moment. And somebody ought to feed him a bit more.

Seems like all of our problems and limitations for yesterday's match have been discussed in depth. I still think it was an embarrassing performance though. Too many players not looking to get back and defend after losing the ball. Sammy's just not ready, and Im not sure if he'll ever be good enough. Dont know why we even bothered with Ranger. Anyway it was quite clear from the team and the attitude we didnt give a shite about the cup. Shame that because it seems to be happening every year. When was the last time we had a decent cup run? From the way we played like yesterday those 3 winnable league games in January are suddenly looking a lot more formidable. Shame what this season has come down to after the heights of last season and the wonderful opportunity we had to kick on from there. Well done to Ashley & co again!

Depressing. Worryingly the other crap teams have started getting results. This is not going to be a fun end to the season. -
Agreed. A midfield trio of Perch/Anita, Bigi and Tiote has to be an absolute no go from now on. Far better balance with Marv/Squiddy in the side although both of them have to work on their defending now that they finally seem to have developed an attacking threat.

Like everyone the first thought is why the bloody hell not do this in the summer. But I'll just be happy about the prospect of Simpson not having a future here. Ok not happy, absolutely bloody delighted!!

Expected to hear this news but it still comes as a big blow. No doubt about it, Ba has been brilliant for us. If it does go through it'll be great for both him and Chelsea in the short term, but in the summer they'll probably sign someone like Falcao and Ba will spend the rest of his career on the bench. Time for Cisse to shine again then. And for us to somehow find a replacement for Demba. Get your coat Carr

Three winnable league games in January. A good month and a couple of signings and all will be well again. Not ever as simple as that with us though is it.

Hope you are right on both accounts Clutching at straws perhaps but the way Bigi, Marveaux and Anita have progressed recently we'll be a much stronger squad on the whole when the big boys return. Heck even Squiddy has been decent recently. You'd like to think this baptism of fire some of our second string have had will benefit us in the long term. Now just to make sure that long term future is not in the Championship

Like has been said a million times we should have foreseen this in the summer. Blame lies as much on our visionary top management as on bad luck.

Both I think. Was still disappointed with the way we crumbled yesterday though. Could have at least retained some dignity for the fans' sake. A few players made no effort to come back and try and defend when they were running ragged in the last 20 minutes.

Yup. Very encouraging performance again. Quality running on the ball and seems to have an eye for picking a pass out.

Neither has Tiote, or Jonas, or Cisse. Tiote is the most alarming one for me. Such a massive decline in his game overall. He's been a liability this season with his silly unnecessary fouls and horrible passing that has cost us on more than one occasion. Other results didnt really go our way either yesterday. There are going to be a lot of bruised egos and tired legs on Wednesday. Wouldnt be surprised at all if we lose again.The key is going to be games after that in January all of which are very much winnable and with a couple of decent buys things could be on the up again. Problem of course is we cant be sure despite all the screw ups this season and the obvious strengthening needed in some positions are top brass will be moved enough to give a shite. Wish people would stop saying we aren't going to get relegated because it makes all of this seem so eerily similar to 2008

The likes of Williamson. He's just naturally shit. At least he tries. But with Simpson its being shite plus not giving a shit at times which really is a lot of shite to contend with.

Yup, shuddering to think where we would be if not for him this season. Not just the goals. Immense overall play. No way in hell we will be able to replace him. If we still dont sign 2-3 players next month......well with that Fat cunt running the show I wouldnt be surprised if we dont

What an absolute joke of a person you are. Do you realise it takes a bit of balls to have a decimated team go out on the country's toughest grounds and have them play like that? Barring the last 20 minutes today they can be proud. Bloody pissed with the defending and one or two players but on the whole we've given a great account of ourselves in very difficult days.
