I think its got more to do with his ability rather than judging him on one game. Its obvious even as soon as now this guy can be absolutely world class, he's got everything. It does come to mind Cisse looked similarly unstoppable last season though. Form will go up and down, for various reasons, but the ability is always there. I still back Cisse to come good again as long as he plays regularly in his favored role.

The importance of someone who can properly cross the ball cannot be undermined, no matter what kind of forwards you have. A great many goals invariably result from crosses or the resulting havoc from a good ball into the box. Jonas was lacking on that account again yesterday. That was never his strength though, we are going to have to rely on Santon, HBA and hopefully Debuchy/Gouffran to get the dangerous balls in. Delighted about Jonas' goal and the show of support from the lads for him. Taken a lot of stick for the team this guy has.

Honesty I thought we were goners at 1-2. Loved the effort and determination from the lads! So many great performances in there. Sissoko will get all the praise and rightly so but Cabaye, Gouffran, Santon and Taylor at the back were immense too imo. Sissoko had better not have a release clause in his contract. Yup Gouffran and Sissoko seem so settled, like they've been playing here for ages. More of the same please! Agree with CT that the outcome of this game depends mostly on how Pards sets us up for the second half now.

People just underestimating Chelsea a wee bit here. They can play when they want to. And leave it to our luck for Ba to start and have a blinder. Going to be a real test for the new boys at home. I think the fact their first game was away may have helped a bit, a lot less pressure from the crowd and overall less nervousness everywhere. We've got a chance as long as we dont put 10 men behind the ball and invite them to hit us with attack after attack. Dont know why we like doing that as soon as we take a lead. 1-2

From what I've read he tried to get into their training ground but wasnt allowed. Seems pretty wrong to me when you are under contract with another club. Oh Im sure Redknapp and Odemwingie's agent had a lot to do with it but like you say he is 31 and should have better sense.
