Yup, too much space allowed to their attackers at times. Really didnt see us coming back after their second goal. Great comeback after a looooong time. Still cant believe this match happened! What a night! These are the days you live for as a fan!

Moussa Sissoko signs for Spurs for like £30m or WatEVA

Incredible talent. Pace, power, technical ability. Seems to have everything. That moment when he absolutely skinned Cole, what an engine! Cant remember the last time we had a player like this!- 1745 replies

If anyone could grab hold of a gif for that it would be appreciated

Got one on Tuesday to be fair.

Honesty I thought we were goners at 1-2. Loved the effort and determination from the lads! So many great performances in there. Sissoko will get all the praise and rightly so but Cabaye, Gouffran, Santon and Taylor at the back were immense too imo. Sissoko had better not have a release clause in his contract. That moment when Sissoko started off 10 yards behind in a race with Cole and ended up a couple in front
-
Yup Gouffran and Sissoko seem so settled, like they've been playing here for ages. More of the same please! Agree with CT that the outcome of this game depends mostly on how Pards sets us up for the second half now.

Cant help but feel sorry for Ba, wish he handnt been booed while going off because by then it was obvious he really was injured.
-
Brilliant so far. Cisse really should have scored one at least too. Cabaye has been superb. So happy for Jonas too, although attack wise he's been poor generally. Good to see all the lads go him to celebrate too, they appreciate the stick he has taken for the team this seaon. Lets hope we dont do what we did against Villa, sit back and we could still lose this. Test for Pardew. Need more of the same, good calm stuff in midfield. Not sitting back and inviting pressure like we usually do.
-
But its more fun getting a result when you were expecting to get beat I get your point though.
-
People just underestimating Chelsea a wee bit here. They can play when they want to. And leave it to our luck for Ba to start and have a blinder. Going to be a real test for the new boys at home. I think the fact their first game was away may have helped a bit, a lot less pressure from the crowd and overall less nervousness everywhere. We've got a chance as long as we dont put 10 men behind the ball and invite them to hit us with attack after attack. Dont know why we like doing that as soon as we take a lead. 1-2

From what I've read he tried to get into their training ground but wasnt allowed. Seems pretty wrong to me when you are under contract with another club. Oh Im sure Redknapp and Odemwingie's agent had a lot to do with it but like you say he is 31 and should have better sense.
-
Cabaye was disappointing again against Villa from corners, have to say Anita was getting quite good at it. Not sure how he is going to fit into the team anymore though.

Cant explain in words how happy I am there's going to be little more of those floated freekicks towards Williamson.
-
With twitter going mental everytime a player takes as much as a dump thats too loud I'd expect to have heard something about it
-
Really? Thats the first I've heard of that.

Odemwingie What an arsehole!

Saying someone is better than Simpson is hardly overhyping them

Shane Ferguson tearing apart international opposition

A bit harsh considering early days and all, but from what I've seen of them so far, cant say I disagree. -
Im all for the finding a right balance argument. But Jonas really has to offer something more than headless chicken running. His game has gone completely off. Dont think he should be dropped considering what a good job he has often done in the past for us and can still do in the future. And I maintain his form has a lot do with the number of different roles and positions he has been asked to play for us this season. Just hope somebody is sitting with down with him to try and sort it out now that we have a semblance of the first team back.

Debuchy looked very quick to me in the Euros. Might have been surprised by Agbonlahor's turn of pace although he probably would have been warned about it before the game. I dont think we are going to see him outpaced too often.
-
Bloody hell. Im not sure what you watch then. Debuchy is willing to run the channel and take on people, and he's doesnt shite his pants when he sees an opposition player blocking his way. Thats a big enough gulf for me. Yeah Debuchy hasnt been perfect in the last two games, like you said he will take time to settle in but even currently I think he's made a significant difference to our right hand side.

Sometimes when watching Man City play over the last couple of years I've often thought how brilliant it would be to have someone like Yaya Toure playing for us. Sissoko seems to have the attributes to be every bit as good as him with a little bit of added flair in attack. Wont read too much into the second half performance as everyone barring Krul seemed to have disappeared for that.- 1745 replies
