Like has been said a million times we should have foreseen this in the summer. Blame lies as much on our visionary top management as on bad luck.

Both I think. Was still disappointed with the way we crumbled yesterday though. Could have at least retained some dignity for the fans' sake. A few players made no effort to come back and try and defend when they were running ragged in the last 20 minutes.

Yup. Very encouraging performance again. Quality running on the ball and seems to have an eye for picking a pass out.

Neither has Tiote, or Jonas, or Cisse. Tiote is the most alarming one for me. Such a massive decline in his game overall. He's been a liability this season with his silly unnecessary fouls and horrible passing that has cost us on more than one occasion. Other results didnt really go our way either yesterday. There are going to be a lot of bruised egos and tired legs on Wednesday. Wouldnt be surprised at all if we lose again.The key is going to be games after that in January all of which are very much winnable and with a couple of decent buys things could be on the up again. Problem of course is we cant be sure despite all the screw ups this season and the obvious strengthening needed in some positions are top brass will be moved enough to give a shite. Wish people would stop saying we aren't going to get relegated because it makes all of this seem so eerily similar to 2008

The likes of Williamson. He's just naturally shit. At least he tries. But with Simpson its being shite plus not giving a shit at times which really is a lot of shite to contend with.

What an absolute joke of a person you are. Do you realise it takes a bit of balls to have a decimated team go out on the country's toughest grounds and have them play like that? Barring the last 20 minutes today they can be proud. Bloody pissed with the defending and one or two players but on the whole we've given a great account of ourselves in very difficult days.

Till it was 4-3 I was absolutely proud of the lads. But they way the fell apart for the last 3 was disgraceful. Fuck right off. Like we havent had enough bullshit this season. Tiote has been nothing but a liability for us this year. Santon's been quite poor over the last few games. Dont even know what to say about this defence. And then there's Simpson.....although the whole of our defence should find a nice place and hide in shame for a few days. Really feel for Ba. What an immense player. Played his heart out again. Probably. They'll have Giroud back too who will give them a bit of physical presence upfront. We arent going to play every time like we did on Wednesday. I wonder if Tavernier could start today.

Our defending in general was pathetic in that second half. I cant wait for us to sign Simpson's replacement but its not fair blaming him alone. Our CBs were nowhere to be seen in their last two goals. Granted Van Prick's smack on Colo's face didnt help but he really should have gotten back in time.

Yeah I put the do in the inverted commas because Im not sure what you exactly mean by it. Point is we matched them in both the games we played and overall in the league standings as well. So saying our best eleven would struggle against them is hardly justified.

Our passing clicked, and the players were calm on the ball. Thats going to be crucial again versus Arsenal.

Our first eleven could 'do' them on any given day. As is evidenced by us staying neck and neck with them up to the last day of the previous season.

Why does anybody even expect anything sensible from one of football's governing bodies these days. Highlights of the game were just on, couldnt watch. Yesterday was all about being proud of the effort and guts put in. Starting to sink in now we had a great opportunity to do something yesterday that we havent done for over 40 years. Oh well..

Summed up nicely. This was such a good performance. Not going to talk about the defending in that second half but apart from that it was superb. There was composure on the ball, nice and calm passing on the ground in the midfield. Noone showed any signs of fear. Everything we lacked during that 5 game slump. Was really good to see. Hope we kick on from this and the boys dont get disheartened. They'll be down tonight but this was a massive improvement on the whole. Something needs to be done about that defence though. Wonder where everyone went for the 4th goal.

Thought Simpson actually did better today. Cant stand the guy but he was half decent imo. Second half the defence was a shambles though. Scoring 3 on that ground and not getting anything. Really really need to get a couple of defenders in.
