  1. Not much left to turn it into, salvage is the right word perhaps. Mind if people like this guy and Sissoko come in we may still make the step up next season that we should have tried to make in the summer.
  2. Debuchy - Colo - Mbiwa - Santon I understand Colo is likely leaving but still......
  3. Florian Thauvin rumour doing the rounds too. Piss take surely
  4. If the Van Wolfswinkle thing happens I'll kiss a goat. He's going to cost a fair bit though..
  5. Well fook me, assuiming all these players do come in we've got a pretty decent squad then. Minus the striker. Know everyone's said this already BUT WHY THE HELL CANT HAVE THIS BEEN DONE IN THE SUMMER? Really hope we havent left it too late, no matter what the quality of the players they arent going to come in and start gelling together immediately in the situation we are in. Oh well at least it looks like the club is making a serious effort to save itself this time. When was the last time we went after potential world class players. Mbiwa and Sissoko are certainly two. Get that striker in and survive and we may just overlook this shamlbes of a season
  6. We're well and truly fooked. Other relegation threatened teams have gottent their act together while we just keep getting worse and worse. Whats it now? 10 losses in 13? Thats just completley unacceptable no matter what the situation. What a shambles, just cant get my head around the fact this is happening after last season. Well done to Ashley & Co. again. Not that Pardew isnt blameless, time to look for a new avatar.
  7. Yup, they other relegation candidates seem to be getting their act together. And you never know singing Remy and M'Vila might give QPR a boost. We really could get screwed here. Cant believe this is happening again so soon after 2008. What a shambles.
  8. Nevertheless it will happen sooner or later unless we show a bit of ambition. Others have elaborated already.
  9. This. Couldnt give a rats arse about the formation as long as we win it. Put a new CB in that team instead of Willo and with HBA back in for Marvo, looks a pretty promising side. Mind we just have to get some sort of momentum going. Massive massive game and everyone is going be as nervous as hell. Not going to be easy.
  10. Cant believe we would sell both Colo and Santon in the same window given our situation. Surely even the fat man isnt that daft. Wait we have Shane, no need to worry.
  11. They could donate it and provide shelter for half a dozen poor families methinks
  12. Havent seen too much of him but he's a different type of player from Ba/Cisse isnt he? So hopefully we wont have the same problem we had with the Dembas playing together. Now to sign a CB. A decent winger wouldnt hurt either but that would be asking for too much now wouldnt it
  13. Aye, been very unimpressed with Shane when Ive seen him play. Will give him the benefit of the doubt of course until he gets a good run in the team but he is far far away from deserving anything of the sort at the moment. And somebody ought to feed him a bit more.
  14. Seems like all of our problems and limitations for yesterday's match have been discussed in depth. I still think it was an embarrassing performance though. Too many players not looking to get back and defend after losing the ball. Sammy's just not ready, and Im not sure if he'll ever be good enough. Dont know why we even bothered with Ranger. Anyway it was quite clear from the team and the attitude we didnt give a shite about the cup. Shame that because it seems to be happening every year. When was the last time we had a decent cup run? From the way we played like yesterday those 3 winnable league games in January are suddenly looking a lot more formidable. Shame what this season has come down to after the heights of last season and the wonderful opportunity we had to kick on from there. Well done to Ashley & co again!

    Demba Ba

It all comes back to that in the end.
  16. Depressing. Worryingly the other crap teams have started getting results. This is not going to be a fun end to the season.
  17. Agreed. A midfield trio of Perch/Anita, Bigi and Tiote has to be an absolute no go from now on. Far better balance with Marv/Squiddy in the side although both of them have to work on their defending now that they finally seem to have developed an attacking threat.

    Demba Ba

Dont think the medical will be a problem. He's a stop gap anyway.
  19. Considering our position in the league and the fact Rednapp is their manager, cant say Im not happy about this.
  20. Like everyone the first thought is why the bloody hell not do this in the summer. But I'll just be happy about the prospect of Simpson not having a future here. Ok not happy, absolutely bloody delighted!!

    Demba Ba

Expected to hear this news but it still comes as a big blow. No doubt about it, Ba has been brilliant for us. If it does go through it'll be great for both him and Chelsea in the short term, but in the summer they'll probably sign someone like Falcao and Ba will spend the rest of his career on the bench. Time for Cisse to shine again then. And for us to somehow find a replacement for Demba. Get your coat Carr
  22. More like saying you wouldnt sell your house because you have absolutely nowhere else to go. Which would be pretty sensible I think.
  23. Three winnable league games in January. A good month and a couple of signings and all will be well again. Not ever as simple as that with us though is it.
  24. Hope you are right on both accounts Clutching at straws perhaps but the way Bigi, Marveaux and Anita have progressed recently we'll be a much stronger squad on the whole when the big boys return. Heck even Squiddy has been decent recently. You'd like to think this baptism of fire some of our second string have had will benefit us in the long term. Now just to make sure that long term future is not in the Championship
