Cant see us beating QPR away under such pressure. Arsenal at home is another 3 or 4 nil loss. So we had better pray Wigan somehow implode, only chance realistically speaking. Still cant fooking believe this is happening.
-
Thoroughly depressing. Decent point but shityy other results. Those saying we'll survive because other teams are crap will be nervous now. We're right in the shit. Anything other than a win next week and that's that. Unbelievable its come down to this.
-
As usual we cant keep it up in the second half. Matter of time before they score. And probably Wigan too. Shola on for HBA....
-
Jonas' passing. Abysmal.....
-
Come on West Brom ffs. Norwich holding Villa so far.
-
That was miles better. Much better team shape, much more comfortable on the ball, a bit more movement off it. Why not play this way every week ffs Pards? That ball looked like it had crossed the line from that effort from Cisse, bloody linesman too busy falling over to notice. Just hope we dont do what we did against WBA and mess it up in the second half.
-
Thats a relief. Was half expecting Shola and Squiddy to start. A common sense starting line up at last.
-
Either that or Cisse having one of his crazy days. We'll get out muscled and out fought on the whole.
-
Just hope we show enough balls, the complete lack of in the last two home games has been horrifying. Makes you think all the stories in the press may be true.
-
Tried to get into that elevated state of mind "What will happen will happen, we'll survive if we're meant to no need to fuss about it. Just a game after all." and failed miserably, going to be glued to the tv and computer screens and doubtless be in a bad mood again come the end of the game. Just cant see us beating them today. Needless to say who will score for them

Shocked at the manner of Barca's defeat. Had a feeling Bayern would do them but not in this manner. They looked a disjointed side, in both the legs. They've had problems before with physical, powerful sides but they've never looked this disjointed before.

Definitely something wrong then. http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11678/8684308/Premier-League-Newcastle-deny-reports-of-dressing-room-rift

Pards has talked a few times now about players thinking the season was 'over' some games back. What the fuck is that supposed to mean? Even if we had gotten mathematically safe, does it mean the players are allowed to play in the embarrassing manner of the last few games? Its just bloody ridiculous! He says it as some sort of a defence, as if its not really our fault we thought it was all over. Now we know it was wrong and we'll do something about it. I know it probably didnt happen exactly like that but its all still very unsatisfactory. Makes you think all the talk about the foreigners making us soft may be true. Gary Neville going on about it on Sky apparently.

I think the ghosts of last time are still haunting many of us, Im certainly one of them. Wigan's games against WBA and Swansea are winnable, two opponents who dont have much to play for.
-
Cant blame them given current form. Just hope the players can finally bother to get off their arses on Saturday.
-
Very very solid and works his socks off.
-
Would take that too. I can see Wigan getting a result at WBA.
-
Looking at the quality of the goals in this match and the fact Wigan are also playing some decent stuff at the moment we're the ones who deserve it unfortunately.Disgusting.
-
If you're going to sit back and invite pressure soon enough the opposition will peg you there I know what you mean, there just cant be any denying though that absolute rubbish and negative tactics have cost us this season. Negativity that was not always needed under the circumstances. Negativity that we've attributed to our injury problems and the fact we're making do under the situation this season. Just cant be any more excuses now though.
-
Imploding is something we seem to specialize in. How many times have we crumbled like that in recent years, concede goals that not even the shittiest teams concede? With all the change of personnel and management we've seen over the last decade or so you'd think at least someone would cut that out. Must be something in the water.
-
I wish, might have done us some good to have a 'team' out yesterday. The way we sat back and tried to hang on from the off in the second half at WBA is what got to people.
-
He will never go for that, coward that he is. The experience thing worried me too, fully expecting Williamson and Shola to feature for the remainder of the season now.

Hard to explain it isnt it. I mean okay we can suck at defending at times, and with the likes of Taylor you can always expect a big screw up or two every now and then. But yesterday was just incredible. Couldnt believe what was going on and it kept on happening till the very end. Shocking stuff
-
Yup and we tried to correct that in the second half
-
Thought it couldnt get any worse than some of the crap we had to witness under Roeder and Fat Sam. But the boys really outdid themselves yesterday. It was the absolute worst performance Ive ever seen from us, in every possible aspect of the game. I think if one actually intended and planned to play that badly he would be hard pressed to do it better than we did yesterday. Ultimate fuckery is what it was.
