Just hasnt had the chance to show what he's got, or adjust himself into the side. I know he's played a few games but he was thrown into the mix when the games were coming thick and fast and with other inexperienced players alongside him. Dont judge him on that. Not saying he will be a world beater, but I think he's good on the ball, has a nice touch, a decent passer for some reason it seems to me he's got more abilities going forward than he's been able to show for us so far. I wish he would stop all the sideways passing and try to link up with the attack a bit more but then that may have to do with the tactics we've been employing. Just hope he gets the chance in a more settled side next season.

Similar feelings here, we should have 3 broad targets for next season: 1. Finish 8th or above 2. Go all out in the domestic ups 3. Do the double over the mackems Would be happy enough with that.

Agreed, didnt have the best of seasons but has been a good player for us generally and one of those players whose importance you realise only after they are gone.

Alan Pardew - Poltroon sacked by a forrin team

Yeah like I said when we were struggling in injuires, we got the new boys in from January onwards. Must have been some long ball fest before January though if we still have the highest number in the league despite that stat- 10610 replies

Eh? Dont we have the highest number of long balls played in the league? We've been trying to pass it on the deck recently though, just not so successfully. I think there was a period when we were struggling with injuries and had to resort to hit and hope football for the most part. Otherwise I dont think that would ever be our plan of attack. Not with how shit we are in the air.- 10610 replies

Provided a couple of cracking passes in the first half. Our movement up top is just so non existent I dont blame him for trying to bundle past the opposition himself. Yes there were a couple of frustrating moments today with him but that will always be a by product with a player like him.

:thanks: :thanks:

Also looking foward to seeing more of Anita, there's definetely a player in there somewhere!

Would definitely take top half. Just wish we would have a real go at one of the domestic cups for once. Target the League Cup even.

All these successful managers unemployed these days. Okay I know we had next to nothing chance of getting any of them with Ashley in charge, but a heart can hope.
-
Unfortunately it does seem that way. As it seems he has been giving the next season at least, I still hope he can turn us into a top 8 team but its just very unlikely.
-
Yeah first half was decent. There's just no attacking plan or movement up front. No coordination. Seems to be all hit and hope. We were decent moving it about from defence to midfield but it's just mostly sideways from there on. I think Arsenal were quite poor today. They've been playing superbly recently but we're there for the taking today. Shame we weren't bothered.

Just glad this season is over with. Absolute shambles, 9 home defeats and 19 in total isnt it? Some achievement. With this management in charge cant expect much better next season. And I wonder how many of our 'star' players will be wanting to stay with this mesmerizing brand of football Pards has us playing.
-
Wanting players to give 100% is a expecting a big performance? I was of the opinion that should be the prerequisite for any professional footballer. I dont know maybe Im just old fashioned.
-
Yeah Pardew said as much after the QPR game didnt he? We should be grateful if didnt end up 4-0 because clearly even that was acceptable to him. Fucking bunch of tossers. Im not fussing about the result, to be honest I expected us to lose by more but I was sure we would give it a right go. Utterly disillusioned by the complete lack of fuck that was given today.
-
Absolutely disgusted. Toothless gutless performance. What did we have to lose, ffs show some desire at least? Even after we went a goal down we were calmly passing it about in our own half clearly not giving a shit about the result. Only HBA as usual looked to try to makes something happen and Jonas made a couple of positive runs. Thats about it. One chance for Cisse whole game and even that was a half chance. No movement, players just standing about lazily, no passion no desire. Pardew made positive subs at least but it just didnt matter because people on the pitch clearly didnt care two cents about what happened today. Utter rubbish. Forget the result, you would have though after all the shit this season and now with the pressure off the team would have at least wanted to show some drive and commitment for the sake of the fans if not anything else. The balless Pardew can fuck off and he can take some of these players with him. Im already horrified of next season with this guy in charge.
