  1. After which he might want profits
  2. I'd take another two crappy seasons of finishing 16th if it meant Ashley twatted off. And still be delighted about it.
  3. Just when you thought this thread could not get more depressing.
  4. Spurs odds on to sign Willian and Lamela. Probably means Bale is off but I think in whole they've done brilliantly in the transfer market. Still remember the days we used to tonk them 4-0.
  5. They've been scraping through to 4th place over the last few years. In their 9th year without a trophy, and a have a squad nowhere near as strong as the top 3. Chelsea, Man Utd and City are thinking about the title whereas Arsenal are under serious threat of dropping out of the champions league places. Aye I know 4th is pretty close to 3rd but as things stand the top 3 are in a league of their own.
  6. Should be behind Mbiwa in the pecking order once Santon/Haidara are fit.
  7. Agreed. Maybe comparisons to the Spurs model are not appropriate given they do spend quite a fair bit of money but teams like Swansea are managing to play good football, attract players and win the occasional trophy despite not being continuously successful. Funny how we now seem leagues behind teams that were a couple of divisions below us not too long ago.
  8. Aye I was wondering about how the French players he apparently helped convince come here would be feeling after yesterday. Considering whats happening at Arsenal and how they are nowhere near the top 3 it would be a strange move for him to go there, but I wouldn't blame him one little bit if he went anywhere else. What player with an ounce of ambition would like to stay here under the circumstances?
  9. Yay! Last night we had a 'fan' revelling in delight over Jonas' injury and now somebody's happy one of our best players whom we have no chance of replacing is off.
  10. Aye. If we bought 5 top quality players tomorrow I'd still be fearful for the future as Ashely would no doubt find some way of screwing things up. Its hopeless as long as the fat one is here with his penchant for ultimate fuckery.
  11. Yup I really thought we'd be incensed at the bid, reject it straight away and play the guy. I'd even gone as far ahead as imagining him score a 30 yard freekick and celebrate in front of the fans. Turns we WERE incensed at the bid, rejected it straight away and tucked him away nicely waiting for a bidding war to commence
  12. Amazing isnt it. We had the platform to potentially push for something special. And look what we've done with it. Kudos to the fat one.
  13. Is there any chances of the dressing room being lost completely here? The way some players, most recently Tiote, have been making noises. Not that there seems to be much coherence anway. Pardew looked like a very harassed figure to me yesterday.
  14. Exactly. The way everyone was just getting shrugged off the ball. The way we left huge spaces on the pitch. The way nobody seemed to be within 40 yards of Cisse. The way movement off the ball seemed just non existent. The way we couldnt string three passes together. The fact we seem to worked on absolutely none of the problems from last season.
  15. Nah man he/she/it has been here a while and thats hardly the first pathetic comment thats been made.
  16. Why dont you go back to the damp little hole you came from you sad little person? This place was much the better without you here, honestly, please do us the favour.
  17. Tiote man, looks absolutely clueless. I thought Dummett looked promising at least, seems pacy and can time a challenge. Other than only Krul deserves a mention, brilliant as usual. A couple of the saves were unbelievable.
  18. Cant believe how weak we've been on the ball today. Shoved off everything. And the passing.... Oh well nevermind,...
  19. Really feel for Krul here. World class. And how stupid has Debuchy been today, a stupid shove for the freekick there.
  20. Fair enough but how many times have we lost 5-0 or 6-0 over the last few years? As much as any other team I'd reckon. Like it or not we're prone to imploding, both on and off the pitch.
  21. Watching the highlights, for all of their individual brilliance, the amount of space we've afforded City is quite shocking.
  22. No doubt some will say its City and this was to be expected. But the way we just implode and embarrass ourselves time after time is just pathetic. You see other teams come to these grounds and lose but they usually put a good show in and leave with their pride in tact. Fuck off!
  23. Incredible. After least season this is the first game we get served up. Well done lads.
