There's just no more thing as patience in football anymore.
-
Pity, not quite the total meltdown I was hoping he would cause before being sacked.
-
2-0 now! Is there a more complete footballer than Yaya Toure around at the moment?
-
He did fine in the previous two games, in fact he was excellent at Villa. Keep your pants on. Not saying he's going to be a huge hit for us, he has to start playing well consistently. But the way some people are going on since yesterday is ridiculous.
-
Not to mention we dont have a single guy upfront who can hold up the ball. We are so clearly lacking that, its an absolute shocker we didnt sign anyone in the summer with that ability. We're going to get bullied off the park at Everton.

He was rubbish yesterday, although Ben Arfa's half arsed mood did him no favours. Thought he was pretty solid in the previous two games though. Im going to be stubborn and reserve judgement on Debuchy till January.

Alan Pardew - Poltroon sacked by a forrin team
aimaad22 replied to Kid Dynamite's topic in Newcastle Forum
Cant blame Pardew too much at the moment, like it or not, he's been playing the side most of us would have put out and has tried to get them to play the way most of us want to see the team play. Yesterday was a really bad day at the office. You've got to blame the players. The really tricky part is to get this team to play well consistently, got a few tough fixtures ahead of us now as well.- 10610 replies

Doesnt seem to have the end product at the moment, not the finished article by any means. Oscar has progressed at a much better rate than he has.
-
Bloody hell, one bad result If anyone expects us to win week in week out you only have yourself to blame, it wont happen. We'll have the odd good result, and the odd really bad one like yesterday's. All in between general mid table mediocrity. We'll finish between 10th-12th. Get that in your head.
-
Basically they're red hot when things are going smoothly, but when you need to get in and grind results out, we struggle.
-
Sissoko doesnt seem to know what his role is. He looked so promising when he first joined. Now he's stuck somewhere between attack and defence and not particularly good at either.
-
Second half all we've done is fucking loft the ball into the box. Fucking back to clueless hoofball. And then giving away those needless freekicks in the end. Pathetic stuff.

Normal service resumes

Bloody typical.
-
Well this was expected, since everyone was expecting us to play well.
-
Really hoping to see Cisse score at last.
-
We're perfectly capable of doing just that to be honest. Anyway football really doesnt work like that anymore, the league is more competitive then ever.

Yup. Ronaldo is definitely the better athlete but Messi is well............Messi. I mean, for instance that goal a few years back at the Bernabeau in the CL (was it the semi final?) where he jinxed past 4-5 Real defenders and slotted the ball home. I mean, ffs those were some of the best defenders in the world. Cant think of anyone else who can do that. Also while of course Ronaldo scores his fair share of special goals I generally feel Messi scores from more difficult positions than he does. We hear a lot about Xavi/Iniesta feeding Messi but I've always felt Ozil was more critical to Ronaldo then Xavi/Iniesta to Messi.

Most people would have taken a draw at Villa. People will expect a win here now. Will be interesting to see how the lads handle the pressure. And also if we are able to break down what will no doubt be a team looking to shut us out at home. Should be a good test for our new 4-3-3

Agreed, the complete lack of shite given by the team in some of the games last season was alarming. Hopefully there wont be signs of that this time around when things start to go rough again which they will invariably at some stage.- 10610 replies

Aye and he wasnt too bad in in our 5th place finish either. Would love to see the like of Hazard or Cazorla try and score the goal he did versus Bolton.
-
Dont think anyone suddenly happy with the club management. I fully expect another major screw up in the coming months. But its hard not a enjoy a performance like yesterday's. And also unfair on the players who seem to trying to go about their jobs despite the fact their bosses are clowns.

Neymar looking decent too. Really looking forward to the CL this time!
