Hopefully we find a way of keeping him and shipping out Dubravka.

A lot of the goodwill he has is based off Euro 2020 in which he was brilliant but has he performed consistently at club level? I'm more disappointed about missing out on Mamardashvili for 30M when all our targets seem to be goalkeepers.

I just saw two birds stuck together in the garden. Turns out they were velcrows.

Ooof, the burn on this one -
You can just tell Hope is sitting in a dark little corner shaking with glee when he's writing his pulled out of his own arse shite stirring pieces. He's a twat.
-
Absolutely. Real shame it's ending like this for him here, whatever went on his personal life clearly had a massive impact, hope it all works out for him in the end. Proper class act.

Signing of the season: the new RW (please?) Top goalscorer: Isak Most assists: Gordon Biggest surprise: Tonali returning strong leading to City/Real/Bayern bidding war next summer Best Young player: Tino Player of the season: Isak PL finish: 4th Trophies? No If we dont sign another CB and a quality RW, we'll finish 6th.

Very kind of you to care for a 3 legged dog

If you're talking about Nufc twitter then there's little rationality to be expected there right? But I think there's also many who're just looking forward to the next natural upgrade in the squad, and have nothing personal against Miggy. I wouldn't take the comments in match threads too seriously either in the heat of things etc etc and tbf he is one of those players who can be VERY frustrating to watch. We've been over this at various points last season. There's the other side of it too, some like to defend him just because he puts his head down and has a maniacal running style. Meh. Imagine someone of the quality of Barnes or Gordon on the right wing. Yeah you can't say that alone is what will make or break the season but it will definitely play a big part so naturally people are concerned. Again just ignore the Twitter numpties though eh?

Depends on what you think fall means here. Finishing 5th or 6th? Not a disaster by any means of course but at this stage you'd think we now need to target CL places and trophy challenges to keep the likes of Isak, Bruno, Gordon. RW is the position most in need of upgrading. So in that context yes it's absolutely very important we get rid of him
-
Which has provided about 5 assists in 7 seasons
-
Well yes the usual know noughts but I also think last summer there was a general feeling even on here that we'd be able to go bigger once the CL money and new sponsorships come in. People have talked about stadium rights and all that. Of course that was all just expectation noone knows how the commercial stuff is structured and lined-up. I think the club will get it right just maybe not at the pace we expected, especially with no Europe this season. Plus we haven't been able to move on Dubravka, Miggy, Wilson etc together who could have financed a major signing.
-
I don't think CT is completely wrong here tbf. I get there's some time to go and all we really need is 2 top signings to make this a great window. I also think the club feels relatively happy with the starting eleven and don't feel the need to rush into new signing given there's no Europe. However this summer has shown things maybe aren't as streamlined as we thought they were. The Ashworth situation and then Staveley leaving clearly impacted things; and that was evidenced by Howe's Adidas interview. Possibly impacted the PSR management too and of course that whole fiasco was not a great look. Now here we are days from the first game and we've not made a signing of note when this was touted as the summer we'd announce ourselves in that regard. I don't think all of that is necessarily the club's fault though, ultimately it's been a tough summer that we've managed to get through (some of the power transitions though painful were always going to be necessary) without losing top players and seem to have some direction now in terms of transfer targets. We have to stay calm and deliver 2 top players to Howe by September, if we do that there's every chance he will achieve a CL finish again.
-
Let's say our transfer plans fall to shite and we don't sign a RW. Do you think Eddie would try Gordon on the right? That of course enables Barnes to start on the LW. In any case I'm wondering how happy Barnes will be playing second fiddle if he stays fit this season. Interesting to see how we manage him this time around.

The real question is, can Charlotte FC stump up the 20-25M that Saudi possibly could? You'd think they're trying for a sneaky loan deal or something like that which I don't see us agreeing to.
-
Ideally, but to me there still seems a significant % of people on the ground still pining for Trump. No idea of course how that translates into votes and I do live in Texas, but I've been surprised to meet many pro Trump numpties that have migrated from blue states since the pandemic.

10 months of this now, all the while their national TV and politicians continuously defend their right to carry out genocide and rape without rebuke. @Rayvin you were wondering about sanctions? Nah let's give billions more to this lot and send carriers to help them.

Yeah I don't disagree with that. Mudryk is just very raw, I question if he has the mental qualities, no doubt he has some great physical attributes. I do kind of feel for him though as Chelsea must be one of the worst places right now for players to develop. Neto is practically the same age as him and has torn up premier league defences almost everytime he's played. So I get why Chelsea would prefer him, injury record aside.
-
Eh? While I agree the injury record would be a concern for anyone and Chelsea's tranfer plans are generally haphazard; he's miles better than any of the players on that list ( seriously Mudryk? ) Barring Palmer perhaps but he's a different type of player than him.
-
They've signed a bunch of youth players in the 20-25M range as well who will remain with their current clubs for a year or so. They'll likely be bailed out by Saudi again; or maybe rent their dressing rooms to themselves or something like that for 20M a week and not one person in the PL or media will question it.
-
Probably means we'll try to shift Almiron, Trippier etc before signing anybody else.
