  1. Yes but Im pretty sure other clubs will be interested in him.
  2. Not a chance in hell. Gomis on a free is far more likely.
  3. Puyol out for Saturday. He's played his last for the club then. Another legend retiring this summer. Finest 'footballing' centre back of his generation imo.
  4. My news feed on social sites is full of people, nufc fans supposedly, being content with Pardew and his master. Reasons cited such as stability, and its not 'Mike's fault but the people he employs' and the usual' there's no one better' argument. I hope the opinion on the streets is a bit more sensible. Its doing my head in, when will people decide enough is enough? What more could these pricks possibly do?
  5. We're not playing in the cups remember? And if we manage to secure survival by December again then it'll just be another 6 month season. I have now no doubt whatsoever that this is exactly what will be going through the minds of the board.
  6. I dont think fan protests are completely useless, the sort that went on against Cardiff followed by demonstrations outside the ground each game week. Pardew getting booed the second he shows his face in the stadium. How long do you think they can take it? If things keep going the way they've been for the past 6 months Pardew will have lost the dressing room by September, if he hasnt already. Pile on top of that this type of supporter pressure and even Ashley will have to take notice. He wont just sell up of course but it may get rid of the manager which might bring some relief and send out the clear message that the supporters have had f**king enough and are ready to take up arms. The way Pardew was treated against Cardiff, any other guy with an ounce of decency would have quit the next day. A few weeks treatment like this and he'll have to be sacked if he doesnt leave.
  7. Add to that that its the job of the board to ensure that the team is capable of competing on all fronts. If its not, they've failed. So they're basically saying we're not even going to try and perform one of our basic most important tasks. The bastards should be taken to court for breach of fiduciary duty or something like that.
  8. Will be interesting to see the response from the terraces next season. I cant help but think if we spend 25M and get 3-4 new players, which Ashley will likely sanction in order to fight off the threat of relegation, most people will become optimistic again forgetting everything's that happened and that such an amount would only be a fraction of the needed investment considering our net spend in previous years and the TV money.
  9. 8 finals, you cant blame them. Its horrific.
  10. Cant wait for Atletico to stuff it in your fat faces
  11. Barcelona. The manner of their resurgence under Rijkaard. The ridiculous Ronaldinho. And because I dont think there's a better player to watch than this little fellow in full flow
  12. He's been in on it since day one. Speaks volumes about the levels of self respect this guy has when he agrees to basically being shite on purpose. Cant believe I had sympathy for him once.
  13. The statement about our ambition from the board is smart management to be fair. It will save Pardew the trouble of having to concede defeat before each game. One blanket statement sorts it out.
  14. Our manager admits defeat before the game has even begun. We invite bids for our star players months before the window opens. Our board concedes that we wont be looking to challenge for anything 3 months before the start of the new season. Footballing genius!!! They're all in on this from top to bottom, they're all cunts. And like Ant said, no player with an ounce of ambition will want to come here.
  15. That answer about the cup runs, absolutely pathetic. If you'd invest a little bit into the squad instead of stuffing all the extra money down your fat throats you'd not have to worry about stuff like that you filthy mongs. It also shows you how little they know or care about the club's history and culture.
  16. Ah, thats a bit more encouraging then. It was the size thing I was concerned about too. Campbell and Ferguson seem way too lightweight for this level, or rather dont seem to have the skills to make up for it. Anita is an example. Quick feet, agile, sprays the ball around knowing he wont be able to keep it for too long. Still, there seems to me even he can do more. I've been surprised by how at times this season he's shown he can go past people if he wants and has a quick turn of pace. Seems to be holding back something at times though, like being stuck in 3rd gear. Dont know how much that has to do with his role and what Pardew tells him. Will be interesting to see how he grows next season, if it all.
  17. Is this Armstrong lad in the same mould as him? Havent seen him play. Likely to go down the same road?
  18. I agree with that. Shawcross isnt what he was a couple of years back but I'd have him over Taylor or Willo in a heartbeat. Left out Remy and Ben Arfa because I think its a given they're gone, and Remy should be able to find a top 6 club.
  19. Pardewed. He was so direct when he first came here, willing to take on people, using his pace to go past them. Step overs, a little trick here and there. All gone now.
  20. Cant see us going for anyone from the league though. We're being linked with Arnautovic but he should be able to find himself a better club
  21. Krul Debuchy Mbiwa Shawcross Santon Sissoko Arnautovic Anita Snodgrass Bony Sessegnon Subs: Elliot Haidara Anita Coloccini Tiote Cisse
  22. Thats just because you dont understand how hard it is to compete with massive clubs like Southampton and Swansea. Newcastle fans and their unrealistic expectations
