  1. Almost forgotten what its like to have a proper gentleman in charge.
  2. How convenient. Steal from and terrorise a nation for 60 years, then just forget about and move forward. Great for Israel, not so much for the Palestinians. What sort of precedent does that set? History is never irrelevant. The kind of Palestinian 'state' Israel is said to have agreed to would have little or no sovereignty. You could blame Hamas for not agreeing to that but if I was them I'd tell them to shove off too. After 60 years of torture you offer them breadcrumbs and expect them to be grateful? They effectively dont have a choice. Israel knows that. The only way of ever achieving peace is provision of justice. We're freaking miles off that in Gaza. Fine, lets forget history. How about back off some of the land you've stolen as a good will gesture and then offer talks? But no, lets bomb their schools, hospitals and homes in about the few hundred kilometres of land they've got left and then blame them for being pissed? They're the ones sabotaging the peace process? FFS. Fact is, Israel will not stop until all Palestinians have somehow left or are dead. And all of us will be responsible for it. This is a conflict unlike any other in the world. The world superpowers have funded and backed the systematic eradication of a nation and the rest of us have watched silently. Its fucking shameful and it does my head in.
  3. Im pretty sure Israel wants to wipe the Palestinians off the face of the map too. Their elected representatives have just about said as much many times over the years. In their case, the problem is that thanks to the US and its allies they've been given the capability to do it too, and they're doing it. The map of Palestinian territory disappearing over the years has been posted already. Its shocking. Hamas WANTS to wipe Israel out, we all know that it cannot until it gets the kind of backer that its opponent does. Israel HAS wiped most of Palestinian out and now its people too. There's no question of may or wants to here. They're doing it, and the whole world is watching, even if the superpowers are keeping quite. Its absolutely criminal.
  4. It really baffles me as to how anyone who knows everything thats been happening since 1948 can still find a 'balanced view' here. I've learnt though that these people usually ignore that history and insist on pretending that Israeli aggression began when Hamas suddenly developed an inexplicable liking for rocket launching.
  5. Im not going to look for a 'balanced view' just for the heck of it and when there really isnt one. Its genocide. Ethnic cleansing. Call it what you will.

  7. Yeah, THATS whats annoying about this whole episode
  8. Not sure about that myself but we'd be a lot more dynamic with Anita and Sissoko sitting in midfield of 5. Doesnt matter because Sissoko is going to be a right winger again this season.
  9. UN finally seems to be taking a bit of a stance. Apparently they warned Israel 17 times about the school shelter but it still got hit. Excuses are sounding sillier and sillier by the minute and you can see that the media houses traditionally protecting Israel are finding life a bit hard at the minute.
  10. Or De Jong behind the striker with Sissoko and Anita behind them. Would love to see but its never going to happen now.
  11. I resigned myself to the idea of losing him long ago. I've already half prepared myself for the same situation to occur again with someone like Cabella in a couple of years time. That solo effort against Bolton When will we next have a player who'll be capable of doing anything like that? Just happy I got to see someone like this at NUFC, especially under someone as dross as Pardew.
  12. Would put it past our lot to be honest.
  13. Must suck to be a Southampton fan right now. So much promise disappearing right before their eyes. They've come through a lot in recent years too. How much is the Rodriguez fee supposed to be? Cant seem to find a quote. Quality player imo, worth a go at around 15M.
  14. Aye Rayvin you dont seem to know just how strong a political lobby Israel has in the US. Think Parky posted an article about it somewhere above. Lets just say the chances of the US standing up to Israel are as much as Pardew telling Ashley to piss off with his policies and hand him a 100M kitty
  15. If you've been reading the previous pages you'll know I clearly stated what they do in targeting civilians is wrong. Its just that I can understand their desperation to a certain extent. 60 years of torture. Im not sure what I would do in the same circumstances.
  16. Israel's retaliation From my point of view what Hamas does is retaliation. Already tried explaining it. Cant really be helped if people still think Israel is somehow the victim here. Fish, why do the Israeli people allow their government to occupy and blockade land that doesnt belong to them knowing full well the effect its having on the Palestinians? I dont know what this line of reasoning is supposed to lead to. Its probably safe to say most people in the world have little say in what their governments do.
  17. Aye the Grenier rumours are coming along strong now. Hope you're wrong about Sissoko, but we'd certainly be overstaffed in the midfield department if he came along. Dont know why we're just not in for a CB instead.
  18. I'd have Williamson ahead of both of them. Ben Arfa is not likely to be anywhere near the first team come the new season.
