  1. We may not know whats happened behind the scenes but it seems as though Ben Arfa probably fell out with Pardew sometime during the latter part of last season, probably over tactics and his role in the team, and the weight thing is being used as an excuse to herd him out. Its petty but just like NUFC. Reconcile your differences and get him back in the setup. Otherwise have a quite word with him one professional to another and find him another club so both parties can move on.What's happening right now is just plain silly and helping noone.
  2. Its a vaild point and one can only hope someone as inept as Pardew can somehow manage to pull it off. Defensive concerns remain though. Too bad this new approach doesnt include getting in a couple of decent centre backs.
  3. What makes you so sure? Is Dummet unfit? Hope you're right and that Janmaat is fit.
  4. If we pulled that off it'd have to be one of the best bits of business in our history.
  5. Pardew was raving about the singing post match

  7. Me neither. I was talking about Pardew.
  8. Mark Steel at it again http://www.independent.co.uk/voices/comment/how-silly-of-me-to-assume-it-was-israeli-bombs-causing-all-the-damage-in-gaza-9640905.html
  9. Me too. Too early to chuck in Aarons in a game like that though. I suspect Pardew will move Sissoko to the wing and start Colback for added defensive cover.
  10. Got them off here https://vine.co/u/1107627716829704192
  11. He's no Shola but hardly skinny on evidence of that photo.
  12. Its going to be another mediocre season. 10th-12th. We wont get relegated and the best we can hope for is a decent result or two against the big boys. Thats NUFC now and will be till the fat man's here. No use getting excited or overly gloomy about anything which is why I've had a meh attitude towards the transfer window.
  13. Cant imagine why they'd want him though considering what they've already got in midfield.
  14. I just watched the BBC/CNN today for the heck of it and you can almost understand why some people take this view. We can laugh at the likes of North Korea for mind controlling their people but the rest arent too far off. Fact Israeli tank fire took out about 40 Palestinians might have something to do with it too. Or was this another ceasefire after that? Was out and havent checked the news recently. It was a shambles of a ceasefire anyway. Apparently Israel was allowed 'defensive' measures but not 'offensive'. How the hell does anyone define those terms though? Especially considering whats been happening recently. There have been many many statements that have been very disturbing. An elected MP who said all Palestinians mothers shot be shot dead, Sharon's son who said they need to level the whole place like Hiroshima/Nagasaki, a religious minister who said something similar etc etc. I'd still like to think most Israeli's are rational and objective about what their army is doing, but it doesnt seem to be the case. Its scary. If statements like these had come out of any other place the world would be in an uproar.
  15. No mention of a fee on the sites I've read the news on so far.
  16. Spurs set to sign Dier. Wonder how true the rumours of us being interested were, and if they were accurate how short we fell of the valuation.
