  1. Yup, we'll spend but not as much as we should or could. Especially with all the fringe players that have left.
  2. Think I'd rather just wait for Ashley to sell up to be honest
  3. Rainbows. Unicorns! Pretty ponies! Positivity! Oooooooooooooh pink ribbons! Rainbow!
  4. I thought you were. 3 players already in, perhaps 3 or 4 more come September. Even if that happens its the bare minimum.
  5. Aye, and almost certain to loose Debuchy and Ben Arfa as well. We are actually well behind where we were in terms of squad depth last season, let alone strengthening it in anyway. The 7 players (out of which we only have 3 at the moment including Perez) the papers have been talking about is just about the minimum we'll need to have any semblance of a proper squad. And we are supposed to be grateful and treat it as some sort of stellar transfer window?
  6. I think that particular transfer had more to do with Liverpool being stupid than us being clever
  7. I get your point but It would still sting for some reason. You just dont get used to being ripped off. At least know we know what the likes of Montpellier feel like when we come in with bids.
  8. Whats the source? Freakin hell man. Was just starting to enjoy the game. 8M is peanuts. Screw this.
  9. Perhaps its only the nerd in me speaking but I wouldnt call it that boring. But aye compared to previous seasons it was a bit of a drag. Its kind of inevitable as far as epic fantasy is concerned though. Cant remember too many series Ive read that dont get bogged down some way down the middle before picking up towards the end. Tolkien was the only one who avoided it really because he kept it short. Meanwhile there's still no release date for the 6th book so the trend may not be ending anytime soon.
  10. In case you're interested on the pace of things to expect in upcoming seasons based on the books: I kind of agree with the violence thing though.Yeah its one of the central themes in the books but I think the TV guys are overdoing it a bit. The Oberyn Mountain fight is a prime example. Not sure if I should use a spoiler tag here so I will just in case:
  11. We could get back Shane and play him RB using his left foot with his back facing the opposition. The curving back passes into the keeper would be something else.
  12. More than doubles what we paid for him. Ashley will be more than happy. Invest 5-6M in a replacement and the rest goes the same way the Carroll and Cabaye money went. Wonderful.
  13. Good news, mostly because its out of the blue. If Ant's right at least we wont have to see another one being mercilessly Pardewed.
  14. I genuinely thought we had turned a corner after that season, that we could be going some place. What an idiot I was. The following summer and everything since then has fixed all that.
  15. Im just enjoying the World Cup and not even looking at anything remotely NUFC these days. Its wonderfully refreshing.
  16. Aye I agree with all of that. I just think in the rare case when intent is clear to see, like the Haidara one, then an exemplary ban should be handed out. The excuse they handed out for not doing so in that case was absolutely pathetic too. Load of rubbish. I'd much rather be on the end of a Suarez bite than a cowardly challenge like that.
