Its like the Simpson was better than Debuchy thing all over again

Well thats just damning that. He should just retire, he's got no chance now.

Its not in relation to one article or the other for heaven's sake. Our squad IS extremely thin and this fact has been exposed a number of times over the last couple of seasons. Add to that our performance in the last two summer windows and you should forgive people for being a little apprehensive. I know we'll spend a bit, but not as much as we can, should or need to. As regards both quality and quantity of players.

60M in profits is a pretty decent number. Ungrateful little whingers

[tweet] [/tweet] Just wanted to say this guy is an absolute legend! Massive hand in getting this terrorist arrested. Forget the money laundering, Hussain has ordered/been involved in thousands of murders and what not. His party uses terror and violence to keep control of Karachi. Some of the things they do are unspeakable, I can give first hand accounts of some incidents. George Martin has nothing on the imagination of this guy when it comes to torture. And he makes the Taliban look like telly tubbies. Yet he forms government everytime because noone here is bold enough to do anything about it. Karachi's started shutting down already from fear of what his goons will do in backlash. Anyway. Just wanted to say a big thank you to Galloway and Scotland Yard. Havent been this happy in a long time. Afraid he'll find some way of wriggling free, really hope the fucker gets put down for good.

As a Newcastle fan, what do we currently have to look forward to?
aimaad22 replied to trophyshy's topic in Newcastle Forum
The off chance we may sign someone who could provide a few exciting moments, before getting Pardewed or sold. Thats about it really. I suppose we could get the mackems, Chelsea, Arsenal and Man City in August. That would drastically shorten Pardew's future and make for a more bearable rest of the season. Also be interesting to note how he gets treated by the crowd come August. Would love it if he got booed from the first instance he manges to come out of the dug out. -
Just cant catch a break can we...

What if you're planning to fail in the first place? Like our cup strategy. If we failed to plan in planning to fail, would we win? Footballing genius!
-
Aye. Wouldnt be surprised if we went in with the 12M and they asked for more. We'd deserve it too.
-
We seem to be trying very hard not to sign him. Piss him or his agent off, his club, or wait for another club to come in and steal him. Good thing there's always good old Colback and Sidwell to fall back on.
-
That would have been my first guess
-
Well good luck to you two. At least you're managing to get interviews. Been trying like hell for the past 6 months, no idea what happens to my applications! Brock if I was in your place I'd wait a week or so before contacting the MD. I wouldnt want them to know Im too desperate but would want to show interest at the same time.

Right. Getting in shit players that are being released by teams that were relegated or were on the verge of being relegated is the way to get teams to perform. Way to go old gaffer! I am so fortunate to be able to bathe in the glow of your vast intellect and experience! Cant wait till I finish Championship Manager, grow up, and be able to think up such wonderful revolutionary ideas.

Aye, and even if you believe that motivation levels have something to do with nationality, which is quite insane, there's absolutely no reason we'd still be more successful going for British players as Ive tried to highlight above. Its complete and utter nonsense whichever way you look at it.
-
Mbiwa, Sissoko, Anita arent exactly 'developing' players. They are title winning, full internationals in their mid twenties. You keep saying Pardew will have a better effect on someone like Colback. Even if we assume thats correct, the question here is what is the end product the team gets? Is a highly motivated Colback or Sidwell going to be more use than an underutilised Sissoko on the right wing? Will they be able to make the same runs, provide the same energy, create the same number of chances he has? I dont think so. I still cant believe we're having this discussion btw. Its all so hypothetical and simplistic. And has the culture of mediocrity set down by Ashley and adopted by his manager finally started to filter its way down to the fans?
-
Okay. So by that logic, if we had the chance to sign Ronaldo and Messi tomorrow, you'd turn it down right? Cisse's individual efforts during games like the ones against Fulham and Stoke kept us up last season. This season we wouldnt have been safe in January ffs had we had Colback and Sidwell instead of Cabaye and Sissoko. We'd be right in the shit. I dont disagree with anything you say about Pardew being a shit coach and not being able to get the best out of his players. Everyone knows that. But it does not mean you start going for mediocre players. Its not as simple as that. I'd rather have good players that are badly coached than average players that are badly coached. The Messi Ronaldo example is extreme of course but may help get my point across.

Is it? Tell me what do you think would have happened had we had someone like Bent instead of Cisse during the second half of last season, or Noble instead of Cabaye during the first half of this?
