  1. Looking forward to it but not expecting anything out of it. Just hope for a good performance. An early season tonking is the last thing you'd want.
  2. Great start for 'Van United'. Regardless of what happens today the're going to struggle to finish 4th with that squad.
  3. Best of luck, hope to see you back in good health.
  4. Best of luck with that! Revolution day here at last. Tens of thousands out in force making their way towards the capital already. Time for the people to take charge!!! etc etc etc ...............
  5. An understrength Bayern have been absolutely battered so far in the supercup. What in the world has Guardiola have them trying at the back? Its been a mess.
  6. I've seen a lot worse, its just a pain in the arse.
  7. Enjoyed most of his movies. Anyone watched Aladdin as a kid isn't going to forget Genie. Very sad news.

Even if they are one of the consequences of the wars you dont support? What could be the consequences of further intervention? Or are we again going to think about that after its happened? Not saying outside help is not needed just that there should be better thought put into it this time. For instance I've already read some articles about how US airstrikes could actually help ISIS gather more support from locals. Isn't Baghdadi ex CIA, allegedly? I wonder if its just US equipment that they have. If there's an all out conflict with the US military there's not a question of who's going to win is there? Your question is a bit patronising. As if I would support the rise of a power that slaughters thousands in its wake, simply because they do it in the name of Islam. I posted the article above because it attempted to explain why this has very little to do with religion no matter what the ISIS wants you to think. Secondly, I would not support them even if it did. Few people would. I hope they're dealt with as soon as possible. Not sure how because its an almighty mess. My hate for US foreign policy and everything they've been upto since WWII does not make me blind to other evils. I do hope they're made to answer for it too someday though, not least for their role in whats happening in Gaza right now. Shuddering to think whats going to happen to Afghanistan after troop withdrawal, and the impact it could have on Pakistan. We've already had to deal with a good decade of violence because of it.
  9. Apprehensive, uncertain, slightly scared. Political situation getting a bit out of hand in the country. Opposition party up in arms about alleged rigging the elections last year. People in power have a history of corruption and have recently taken to violence to handle the protesters. 15 people killed in a demonstration not too long ago with not even a police case being registered against those responsible. Obviously that worsened the situation. So now there's this sit in planned in the capital on Thursday. Hundreds of thousands expected to attend and the opposition parties have already stated there will be no negotiations till the PM resigns. Government has already blocked most roads. Containers all over the place and the city is expected to be completely sealed any time. Protesters claim they will remain peaceful but will remove obstacles if stopped, with whats already happened, chances of violence are way too much for anyone's liking. Plus if this thing stretches fuel shortages etc will occur before too long. Meanwhile the all powerful army's sending messages to God knows who by constantly flying fighter jets and helicopters at low altitudes. (including at 1am last night scaring the shite out of half the city). Cant a man ask for a couple of months of freakin stability in this place?

  11. He's probably been told some fans are getting carried away with their expectations, and is trying to 'manage' them. Cunt.

  14. The general idea is to have a different colour to avoid any possible confusion. Swansea, West Brom off the top of my head. I agree its a lovely shirt though. Way better than our new home kit.
  15. Yes a black and white away kit makes perfect sense.
  16. If a longer term loan deal was not possible whats the harm in this? He could get to play a couple of games and if he does well there may be Championship clubs that would want to take him for the season. What would he do here in that month?
