Does this also apply to non muslims? It's the logic some of the radical groups make when attacking western assets. Which is why to me you are no better than them when you say things like that.
  2. Credit for the come back. Can't have been easy. We're screwed though. Hard fought draws against two very average teams. It's going to be a long hard season
  3. Another dull affair. Zero chances against Hull at home. We have nothing to threaten them with. Expect a sucker punch goal from them on the counter.
  4. Posted this a while back. Well day 38 and its still going strong in spite of tear gas, arrests, baton charges etc
  5. I remember posting in the general board about the political situation in my country. Mass demonstrations against the sitting government who all but admit they're incompetent and came through rigged elections but wont resign. 38th consecutive day today and thousands are still coming out on the streets daily, in multiple cities. Keep protesting until the cunt is kicked out. You can hold on for only so long in the face of intense public pressure.
  6. Sure hope so. I understand the negative effect it will have on the team but there are bigger problems here. Need to think about the season/longer term future than one match.

Good insight into how this really isnt as simple as people like Ken think: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/alastair-crooke/obama-isis-not-islamic_b_5843830.html

I was going to get to that. Keep going down that chain and almost everyone in that region, and beyond, will be involved in either training, funding or arming the ISIS. Nuke em all, that'll show em. Oh and dont forget to leave behind a few warheads for them to play around with after that.

Right. So is that just Iraq then. Or Syria. Both I suppose? You're right. Thats completely reasonable.

Yeah, please drop the lecturing tone because I've seen 50,000 of my countrymen pay with their lives for the 'dark side' that arose post 9/11. I know this better than you can imagine. Its good to see people acknowledging this fact though. Perhaps it will one day lead them to realise why so many of these groups or organisations spring up in the first place. Shit happens when you threaten people, invade their homes etc etc. The whole point I was trying to make on the Gaza affair when the ridiculous notion of how somehow Hamas' rocket attacks were to blame for the whole mess. We dont learn though. Or I suppose we do but curing the problems doesnt really suit the people who're making these decisions. Always addressing the symptoms, never the disease.

Its scary. You've got scum like the ISIS running around a whole country or two doing whatever they want. Then you've got everyday people like Ken on the other side who want the whole middle east nuked just to be on the safe side (probably also because he has a problem with beards). Does kind of explain why half the world's such a mess.
  12. I dont think they deliberately intended to chuck him out because of his illness (I hope rather). But the way things are run here, the priorities that have been set, its completely conceivable that the first thing they thought of on hearing the news is cut your losses. They dont care about the feelings of thousands of fans, as long as the profits keep coming in, so why should one player matter? We're a business, nothing else matters.
  13. From the above interview, it seems as if the club just told him to leave because they saw him as a liability instead of giving him time to recuperate and fight for his place as you'd do with players if they got a serious injury. Harsh for a player who's always given his all. I know its not necessary thats what exactly happened, just seems that way from Jonas' comments.
  14. Not a lot of room for anything being lost in translation in those quotes. Still dont want to believe it but it seems likely our fears about the way the club may have acted here is true. I said before I wouldnt be surprised, but it wasnt true, its shocking. Especially with everything's thats gone around the club lately. Anyway, I suppose it would be a shame to pollute this thread with discussion about the things that run this club. Jonas is a strong character. Really really hopeful he'll beat this.
  15. Wouldn't be surprised in the least bit if the club had told him to get lost. Its all about money in the end here of course. Hope Jonas and toonotl make a good recovery.
  16. So Souness has sympathy for Pardew. Apparently we're "quick to show our frustration". I hope he realises his sympathy was one of the few things remaining that would make us hate Pardew's boot licking guts more than we already do.
  17. Hope the banners, along with the Cardiff match treatment, are out since the first minute against Hull. Sad state of affairs but it has come down to this now I think.
  18. Has someone modified this guy's posting rights so as to only allow him to post via starting topics? Something like the Aeris blah blah treatment. Andrew?
