  1. Aye. I dont think there's even a proper solution now, damage limitation perhaps but this crap has gone on for too long now and dug itself deep into the ground. I still dont get why some people see this as 'Islam' versus the 'West' though. These groups have been killing muslims indiscriminately in many countries. They're not elected representatives of muslims. Pakistan for instance has now been using military force against them for years, and the fact we've often done it at the behest of the US has only fuelled the attacks we've had to deal with. Mind you, that little bit was a massive fuck up on our part, taking funds from one terrorist for promising to bomb another, cant end well can it?
  2. Thats class. This is one of the things I admire about the west. If you cant get together and send out a message when something like this happens, you're screwed. 50 000 dead here over the last decade or so and nobody's really fussed.
  3. I think this might explain to a great extent: https://m.facebook.com/GeorgeGallowayMP/posts/10152998504250797
  4. Friedel? American accent on a football show just seems unnatural.
  5. That reaction is what they want.
  6. Absolutely horrific, disgraceful stuff.
  7. Is the guy who write that even a proper journalist? Its the sort of clueless rant you come across on Facebook etc.
  8. To add something a bit more encouraging here. About a year ago a 16 year old died defending his school from suicide bombers, saving God knows how many lives. Proper hero
  9. Think that about sums up his time here perfectly
  10. Havent really followed the la liga recently so found this interesting http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2320696-lionel-messis-barcelona-issues-more-complex-than-a-simple-manager-feud?utm_source=twitter.com&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=programming-UK
  11. Good thing I dont get the BBC then. Still have a pretty awesome image of Big Al in my head Is he that bad as a pundit generally?
  12. I agree with that. The point Fish has been trying to make recently. Most of all in my opinion, for anyone ambitious, the thought of breaking our trophy draught and going down in history should be pretty appealing. If Swansea and Wigan can do it, it should be possible for us even on Ashley's budget. But thats not what I was going on about, it was more to do with the timing. Pardew gone, and at long last some of the fans are daring to hope someone decent comes in and perhaps we can dare to look ahead in God knows how long. What do we do? Sell (allegedly) our best player, again. So much for daring to hope. Loyal to managers as in Pardew's case? Yeah, as long as he sucks up to Ashley and plays along with his idea of what we should be doing as a club. The kind of people that'd be willing to do that aren't going to be talented or ambitious so Im not seeing that as a factor in attracting someone decent.
  13. Yes. Which is why I said 'enjoyed' not necessarily better
  14. Aye Solano was class. Robert on his day was ridiculous. Still didnt enjoy watching either one of those as much as this guy. When the next time we'll have anyone here who could go past 3-4 players and create or score a goal?
  15. Released from his contract. Shame. Say what you want about him. Haven't enjoyed watching anyone at this club more in my 15 odd years of following.
  16. The opening post isnt in caps so Im not reading it.
  17. Audition failed? He's passed it with flying colours.
