Its just "big' money by our standards.

Wonder how representative forums for clubs with smaller followings like that are though. The likes of Ajax and PSV have been losing top talent to the rest of Europe for decades, nothing new for them. The club itself has been acting classy on twitter at least.

Alright. To be fair that must have provided more entertainment than the football in recent years.

What IS going on there? Dont tell me SJP functions as a wedding hall during off season.

Class news to wake up to today. The guy looks really happy as well.

Must be the excitement from heightened transfer activity

Yes, just the day...

I was supposed to be on the AirBlue flight that crashed into the hills in Islamabad in 2010. Had the ticket and everything. The evening before my boss says lets work late, take the late night flight out and I'll give you the next day off. I happily agreed. Such horrible emotions the next day watching all the chaos knowing somebody would have gotten in on that plane on the last minute in my place.

Kind of depressing accountancy isnt it? Thankfully I was able to move into the consulting side very soon although its still related. Need a job change asap though and thus again find myself deciding whether to take something purely accounting related with higher pay and better career path or stay in my more fulfilling current role with crap pay and small chances of any real career progression. Sticking with it so far and not really regretting it. So I'd say go for what you want to do, albeit after thinking about a few practicalities as others have pointed out. People who're doing what they want are generally so much more happier than those grinding each day out.

They wouldn't have been French then though, Ballotelli would get too much stick here, end up sulking and be a total failure.

We already have a thread for this? 185 pages long.

Might be for you lot, the emotional roller coaster part. Its not just about being at the baseline, its that they rely on fitness and keeping the ball in play rather than 'style' or 'talent'. Seems silly saying those two dont have 'talent' but you know what I mean, its in comparative terms. They're ridiculously good athletes no doubt. Thats why I mentioned Nadal, same baseline defend philosophy on the whole but does have that X factor that set him apart from everyone else. Agree about Henman though, quite entertaining watching the crowd drag him to the semis each year.
-
Wouldnt mind someone like Sampras right now, at least there'd be some change from this senseless baseline drudgery. Little chance though with the way the game is designed these days. People will say Nadal was the one started this run around the baseline till you die approach but I loved watching him in his prime, still hope he can get back close to it. Ridiculous top spin on the forehand, extra bounce, inside out shots etc etc at least he had something different. Murray and Djokovic are horrendous to watch. Might as well put two of those ball throwing machines on either end and let them go at each other.

Good thing too. Matter of time before the club decides to blame the fans' lack of support for transfer activity for not getting anyone 'over the line'.

Are there even any rumours now apart from this old Austin crap? The state of the squad man, and we're nearly into July. And still looking to offloads the likes of Cisse and Sammy Not that I think Sammy should be anywhere near the first team, but the squad, the squad ffs!
-
Murray's most likely to be the only real challenge for Djokovic this year. Federer's not got the legs to match him anymore and Rafa's injuries seem to have done him. I see your point about the prize money but who the hell cares? Wages, transfer fees, sponsorship, prize winnings etc in sport are all crazy these days little point fussing over them.

Rather water than tissue paper. Still beyond me how anyone could feel clean after using paper

We've come a long way in 5 years

Are you surprised? No doubt a couple of last minute panic buys will follow in August, after we've sold the likes of Cisse and thus we'll end up with an even weaker squad than last season. But we're aiming for trophies now dont forget.

20 odd hours in that weather isnt so bad. Try coming here and keeping a 17 hour fast in 46C And yes, everything is a test of course Its not the end of the world really. Always amuses me when people who dont fast make a massive deal out of it. Its not easy but its hardly the most difficult thing you'll ever do.

Fantastic news!
