Whoopsies Gemmill's right about the weirdos in audit too. Interesting how accountants being weird and boring is a trend that encompasses geographical/cultural boundaries High suicide rate so...

Yes exactly PwC Its mental because all the tax guys at the firm did was fanny around the tax authority officials tickling their balls hoping to get extensions on deadlines for their clients.

Myself know a couple of people who dont need to at all but do. One worked as a tax associate dealing with miserable public sector clients basically just filing appeal upon appeal for them. While his family was asking him to come manage the hectares of agricultural land he owned, or any of the hospitals or schools etc they were running in the area. Thought it might not have been true until the day I was passing by the area and he invited me to see 'his lands'. Tax associate ffs

Yep! Which brings you to think. How many of us would immediately give up their jobs supposing there was a significant cash windfall out of nowhere suddenly? Rich aunt's will or whatever. I think I'd be handing in my notice as soon as gauging that I'd be able to live off it. Even though I dont really have a major hobby or a business idea etc that I could work on immediately, but the idea of sitting back and having time to think doing about whatever the hell you want is hugely appealing

We should be looking at a creative CM with a view to next year anyway.

Wonder what Rafa could get out of Anita in that role.

The term you're looking for is avid reader

I guess it varies from person to person though. Had a few months off at the start of the year before starting a new job and loved every minute of it. Was nearly 5 months in fact and barely noticed them fly by

Although I do loath much of the MSM's role in the Afghan,Iraq, Palestine and other middle east debacles cant help but agree there's still more awareness of the 'other side's' point of view in Western countries. Not sure about the US, they dont seem to give a shite about what they bomb generally, but Europeans do seem to be more aware. I remember that march Chez mentioned. While the muslim and Russian/China media likes to blame everything on the US and its allies I dont remember a single large protest/movement by any group here. In fact we became US 'allies' providing military bases, intelligence and logistics in the Afghan invasion after being threatened/bribed by the Bush administration. Something people here conveniently forget when blaming the whole Afghan mess and subsequent fallout on the US.

And its a problem thats been highlighted every season since Viera/Gilberto era pretty much. Wenger is a stubborn stubborn man though.

Film/moving picture show you most recently watched

They've managed to make it work as a whole though, and I think the disappointment that was Episode 7 has a lot to do with better reviews for this one. I do agree that Disney will ruin it in the end though, from what we've seen so far. At most they should filmed 3 more titles and wrapped it up with episode 9. -

A lot of Parky's points are valid but I still enjoyed the movie a lot -
Didnt Mourinho have a very poor head to heard record against him at Real? I think he left because there really was nothing left for him to do there. Makes sense. Dont really watch a lot of Bundesliga so cant comment on his time at Bayern much. But I like him for his time at Barca. It was the best football I've seen and most likely will ever. Yes it was a ridiculously talented side but he got them playing at their best consistently including the lesser known fringe players. Enrique has gone with a more direct approach, not anywhere near as nice to see. I'd make a bigger case for them winning matches mostly because of their stars these days as compared to Pep's time. I think the footballing philosophy was far more evident in play under Guardiola and that says something about a coach when a team's got that many stars in it. He'll do well at City imo if he gets the time. Agree with Tooj here, 2-3 years. When he's drilled his way of doing things into the place. City have a good many players in the latter stages of successful careers. Harder to get them to play a different way. Sounds like an excuse but he is one of these coaches who needs the players to buy into his way of playing.

Wigan v Newcastle United - Wednesday 14th @ 19:45

Couldnt watch the game but nice to see things are back in order. -
See there's my point, Bernard had to play with O'Brien and Bramble and what not Okay not going to debate this after forgetting the guy's name I guess most of the defensive errors I can recall from that time were by the above two, and Bernard WAS quality going forward Cant have many complaints with Enrique, he was quality. Before shaving his head and being shite for Liverpool.

There's a lot of ifs and buts in that core Clark can be a bit iffy, was for Villa anyway. Mbemba/Lascelles have a lot to learn still, its a young partnership. But because the ability seems to be there we should stick with them. There'll be games when we wish for a more solid experienced partnership though I think. Anita is a squad player at premiership level. Can do a good job at times but like we've discussed often before he lacks the physicality and the talent/ability needed in lieu of it at that level. Shelvey and Mitro have big question marks over consistency. More confident about Ritchie being a decent player for us. Atsu and Hayden are far from proven premiership players. Im still not in favour of an overhaul, attitude and commitment seems to be spot on now. With the right additions around this group you'd back Rafa to establish us again in the premiership. And hopefully build on from there gradually. Just saying there's a fair bit of work still to be done on this group, they'll do well in this league but unless we supplement them with a 3-4 quality additions we'll be asking for trouble next year imo.
