  1. Going to be a tough second half to watch, we need to find a way to hang on and hit them on the counter because they will try to push for the goal, they have to.
  2. Brilliant, I know they had chances but so did we and it's just bloody fantastic being this competitive in these games. Isak is unreal, makes the likes of Van Dijk and Saliba look like school boys at times. Priceless.
  3. I had to get all the S's in you twat!
  4. Yessssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss
  5. It's squeaky bum time, stop with the small talk and start pissing your pants so we might actually have a chance.
  6. Fingers crossed Botman and Isak come through this unscathed. I was sure we'd see Kelly start. No injuries and a draw or a competitive result we can take to SJP would do me. Then play the bench on Saturday.
  7. He's going for a balanced side, makes sense to me. Tonali and Joe will put in the defensive shift. You need a bit of creativity in the middle in the absence of Bruno if we want to get something from the game.
  8. Ah yes, the Saudi evil masterplan has finally come to fruition after years of devious scheming. What dreams in Riyadh are made of
  9. I see Sky's buildup to the game involves peddling Isak for sale again on their website. Honestly hope if and when the time comes we only sell him abroad so these pricks can continue to enjoy Havertz and Nunez for their darling clubs.
  10. So basically he has no idea what's going just like the rest of us
  11. Nonsense. We've made all that effort to withdraw 70M from the bank and it would clearly be a waste to send it back. We must absolutely spend it before it gets nicked from Tindall's cash register.
  12. If we keep most of the main players fit we can get CL, especially if 5th gets you that, no idea whats the latest on that UEFA coefficient thing or whatever it's called. Squad depth is obviously the issue with us, especially at CF. Isak gets injured and we're screwed. We're not a mid table side with a fit team though, we're easily CL challengers. Isak and most of our midfield would start for most PL sides, you could argue Hall and Tino are not far off. Botman too when match fit. This is where Tonali, Hall and Gordon have really added value. It's not just Isak and Bruno carrying the team with occasional help from your Miggys and Murphys. There's proper quality across the park now. The positive thing for me now is the team seems to believe that which gives you the ability to put together these runs in between the inevitable hiccups.
  13. Scrappy second half but it looked like we knew what we were doing, Spurs controlled the ball but they barely had one or two decent chances the whole half. This is another Howe tactical lesson in the midst of fixture congestion and tired legs. Also this is what having brilliant technical players can do for you. The difference between what Tonali was doing there in the last 15 minutes and what Longstaff would typically be able to do is massive. It's no coincidence we've hit form as he's found his place in the side for us. Brilliant result again. You can't expect to dominate every game with the players having played this many minutes. The concern now will be what legs they have for midweek but this has been a fantastic series of performances and results.
  14. Easy there lads, we are smashing these tonight
  15. For someone stubborn and unable to amend his style of play, Howe sure does solve a lot of tactical problems. Not saying it was without hiccups but rarely anything is in football, no doubt the midfield structure will need to evolve again at some point but I for one am absolutely loving having a manager who's always thinking, working his socks off to get the best out of the team, besting much more fancied managers time after time.
  16. Whale whale whale look who's trying to get into the game now
  17. The media is absolutely fuming we've got him aren't they Even more so that he's not chomping at the bit for a move despite their collective wishes for it to be that way. I know in the end football is about your team and club, enjoying the little moments and success if any that comes your way. When we win a trophy that'll be the main thing but I think there's definitely another theme now with not just NUFC but any club outside the status quo (Villa say) that's trying to achieve real success in the face of PSR and other barriers to entry into the so called 'elite' club category. A big feck you to the establishment of the red cartel, main stream media etc. that want anything good that happens to smaller clubs to be promptly disbursed to their darlings. It's imperative we win a trophy soon, for Howe and for the players that took a chance and believed in a dream different from setting up at a club already established with years of success behind them and roads already paved for future success. If it happens the media will no doubt try to brush it off as the richest club in the world owned by a state finally winning a trophy but anyone with half a footballing brain will know it will have been against all odds in modern football.
  18. Never thought I'd see the day we smash Man Utd season in season out. It's like someone flipped the universe on its head. Delighted.
  19. Absolutely meant it, even when you're falling you can avoid going in studs first ffs. He thought he'd get away with it the nasty little prick
  20. You'll be happy to know then I'll be flying during the Manu game. This worked two years back too, Spurs 5 nil after 20 minutes After that somebody else needs to take over.
  21. A convincing win at Old Trafford would still be my favorite result of the season, unless we reach a cup final. Please let's batter these.
  22. Been travelling so haven't really watched the full games recently, so of course we start playing well and go on a run. Fantastic to see the old energy and drive back alongside the goals. Looks like Tonali has been instrumental, as has Murphy. Two positions that have been problematic. Pretty tight between 5th and 10th right now. You'd expect that gap to increase in the coming weeks, hopefully we can maintain the consistency. Fact is we have the players to best most premier league teams when on form. Tonali fast looking like another top player to add to the handful we've got already.
  23. Keep it close at the Emirates and I'd fancy us for the second leg. Hopefully the injury situation stays reasonable. We've shown we have the ability to beat these teams, and you'll have to beat top teams to win anything, it'll be about focus and keeping heads when its squeaky bum time. The experience from the last cup final should help as well.
