  1. Look at their spend in recent years too. And they threw away the Champions League at the end of the season, the way the played against us was disgraceful. Seems to have still have the support of his board and the media though, just because he was Pep's understudy and a popular player. Remind you of someone? He surely can't be THAT bad though
  2. I have a feeling Jesus is going to be another case of Arsenal signing an established player that doesn't really do that well for them. He's a class technical player all right but is he the sort of character that will lead from the front and push everyone around him to do better? Arsenal fold like a pack of cards every other game and they haven't really addressed the fact they don't have a strong spine to the team.
  3. Aye he must be great for the dressing room you'd think. Bit of a character but grafts his bollocks off on the pitch as well as being the poster boy for our project. What a signing.
  4. Barely scrapped out of league one and they think they can take on a team that was basically top 4 in the premierleague in the second half of the season. Seeing what happens to them this season will be a good supplement to the great season we should be having ourselves.
  5. Surely's he's got some family or mates that should be knocking some sense into him. Though judging by today's posts they're probably looking from a distance too afraid to get close. Finally finished watching 'We are the Geordies' yesterday. Decent stuff. Incredible though that anyone from the area could have the remotest of sympathies with Ashley and his croneys considering what the club has been subject to. And freakin Rafa man, we may still have been in the gutters if not for him. Arseholes like Edwards have had the audacity to compare his record against the likes of Bruce. Absolute clown.
  6. The state of Edwards' Twitter right now by the way Even by his standards its spectacular. Apparently people at the club thank him for downplaying expectations of our budget.
  7. Btw the exact legal status and ownership of the company is not that easy to identify. Not that it matters to Nufc as such but that's the way most large companies in the Arabian Gulf are structured. And invariably the ultimate beneficiary is one of the royal family holding groups or wealth fund. It's pretty shady Considering how adept certain journos have proven at understanding relatively simple things like FFP, it should be hilarious to see them trying to grasp the relationships we're likely to have with these sort of companies in the coming years.
  8. Yup, it is how it is, good to see us getting in on it since every other major club is. Also Noon is really an Emaar company which is a Dubai based real estate group. Aye they have significant PIF backing but then so do tons of other companies. I wonder if the outrage will only be reserved for the arabic sounding companies we work with. I like how this comes out of nowhere as well. Hopefully the same thing happens with the shirt sponsor next season, let the self-righteous drown in their own puke AFTER we've signed a filthy 5 year contract.
  9. Brilliant news this. It seemed we were ready to give up on him and Ekitike. This is a real power statement. 3 top class players already then with Botman, Tripper and Bruno. Wilson when he's fit too. Add a couple of attack minded ones now and it all starts to look very promising, just the second transfer window and all.
  10. Agreed. At the same time, with the amount of numpties present on social media across all walks of life one should think players, managers and owners these days should be able to tune them out and get on with their jobs.
  11. You'll kill him with that you will. In which case... Halo from the other siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiide.....
  12. Surely that's just his game, doesn't care about being a joke as long as he gets a few followers. He is the talk of half of nufc twitter it seems plus this thread. It's pretty sad but it does seem to be working.
  13. Found myself going straight to the last couple of months of the fixtures before realizing we don't need to worry about who we're playing on the last day anymore Wonder how long before the Ashley era trauma subsides
  14. Scrum master II is all the rage these days. Also, you need someone to explain/blame when all those data science projects fail to deliver. I'm been promising myself for a while to lay-off Excel and give something like PowerBI a go for things like dashboards. There's always one reason or the other you keep coming back to Excel, the thing is universal for a reason. Also, finance people hate change and are sick enough of their lives to add learning a new software in the mix.
  15. For some strange reason I always read DCL as Duckworth Lewis. So no thanks.
  16. Absolutely, agreed on Rodi as well. Thiago is a decent player alright but he did struggle a bit when he arrived and he's more limited than Rodri imo. Rodri's scored some crucial goals as well.
  17. A bigger travesty's not having Son in team of the year.
  18. The Twitter feed is infuriating. I'm not following any of these idiots yet they're all over the place.
  19. I see we've made impressive new in roads into the realm of wanking gifs Wonder what it will be like when we actually sign a couple of top players
  20. Aye there ought to be a platform to report people brandying about the O word. I wonder if this means we try a last ditch attempt at Nunez, looks to be out of our reach now going by latest reports but there's not many other strikers we've been linked with.
  21. Get in! A rumor from an Italian sounding name is automatically more credible these days.
