  1. He's always been class. A fair few people try to undermine him by saying he's always spent shite loads wherever he's been but there's plenty of examples of that not working out if the coach isnt right. Just look at their red neighbours. Klopp generally seems to have been the media darling but personally I've found him a bit tiresome with his excuses that seem to be getting more elaborate with time.
  2. There's been talk of Bruno catching the eye with the Real links and all. I think it wont be too long before Joelinton becomes wanted too. There's not many that can absolutely dominate the midfield battle in this league. It really does seem like we're about 2 top quality attacking players off from being CL place contenders. Its just mental.
  3. Wow, what do you say here. A bit disappointed after going 3-1 up but it's a fantastic performance and effort from everyone. Pope absolutely immense. The belief and courage instilled in the side, its just beautiful to see.
  4. AND the way the in which management has decided to implement their vision for the club. Careful, deliberate, well planned appointments that all fit in with the vision. None of the knee jerk dramatic, hype based emotional stuff that the Gerrard/Lampard appointments reeked off. The same process is being applied to transfers. A lot of people will need this perspective as we go through the motions of reaching the club's new aims in the coming years.
  5. "Rafa cloned", oof Bit of perspective on how far we've come in under a year as well.
  6. I think we ought to declare Villa/Gerrard as the official non Nufc interest/laughing stock for this season before certain people get ideas about other clubs and predictions.
  7. The day is coming when this will not be a joke!
  8. Oh well, equalizer at Goodison. Not bad in the scheme of things maybe, they to do enough for Lampard to stay long enough to truly ruin them.
  9. Leicester losing as well. Still time to jump ship for certain players
  10. Pulisic's end product can be ASMesque at times. Ok maybe not that bad but that's been the main reason he's not a Chelsea starter. Maddison is definitely a level above.
  11. https://www.reuters.com/markets/europe/saudi-pif-buys-shares-alphabet-zoom-microsoft-us-shopping-spree-2022-08-16/ I take Amnesty International and the like will soon be issuing calls for the SEC to take action and Microsoft, Google customers to protest?
  12. He'd probably miss it if he went by himself.
  13. Considering today's market and what we paid for Wood, we shouldnt feel ripped off by $30M. Hopefully now this is just a case of negotiating how the deal is structured, upfront payments, add ons etc rather than haggling on the overall fee.
  14. It's one of those things where if it works out, like the Botman transfer, the club will be hailed as smart operators. And if we end up getting noone, or at least noone rated highly, we come off as a bit of a joke to the players we've touted the project to considering other smaller clubs have been splashing the cash. Which makes me think come the end of the transfer window, the club will sanction at least one or two deals even if they're over 'budget'.
  15. Mental. Are Forrest exposing themselves to a financial meltdown if they dont stay up? Or an Everton like situation.
  16. I'm surprised he managed to win 7 games tbh. Shite league. And we thought he was a Championship level manager, apparently not
  17. Absolutely this. Someone very close to me went through a ton of issues recently and was down a lot for it. They always knew to call for help when they needed it most and it's what got them through in the end. Must take an incredible amount of strength, and you have it too @Renton from what I'm reading. Keep close to your family and mates, one day at a time will do it. Hope to see you keep posting on here as well. Dont frequent these areas of the board too much myself but you arent likely to see pics of grassed up bins anywhere else
  18. After they were basically told by Bologna to feck off
  19. Absolutely loving everything to do with this club right now ex players meltding down on the tele, transfer targets preferring to not get paid than join this circus, getting twatted by Brighton and pretty much everybody else at the theatre of dreams, to now trying panic deals for the likes of Rabiot and Arnautovic. All bloody brilliant Watching Maguire is a treat too, pointing here and there for his teammates to be, looking all important, while being completely out of sorts himself.
  20. Going to be the title decider in 5 years so they can call it that with all the lubrication that will be required
