Generic small time football blather thread FOREVER
aimaad22 replied to Sonatine's topic in Newcastle Forum
Ah that's shite. Think I saw that yesterday. It's a 'Premierleague production' that show so not surprised they shrug us off. Had no idea Kelly was Dalglish's daughter. So that's how she got the gig. Completely unremarkable presenter. Standard rote learned, mechanical comments that would put you to sleep if she went on longer than 5 seconds. -
Generic small time football blather thread FOREVER

Can't you watch just the highlights on Youtube or the streaming platform of whoever the broadcaster is there? Or is not having on demand highlights available part of the shite TV arrangements in England? I like watching the analysis, for a bit of banter if nothing else. Especially when we're doing well and you can see on the faces of some of the pundits they're struggling to cope with it -
They've got to have some of the commerical/sponsor situation sorted out to be planning that. Can't wait to see the back of Fun88 and Castore.

First season in England man, beyond silly. Watch some pundits try to tell you he doesn't suit City or how its hurting their system though. As if all other variables in football have ceased to exist.

I hope the club announces new sponsors, kits or something before the international break because we may not survive it otherwise

Gill-tea? I'll get me boat

That analysis also underlines what we need to focus on in the summer, not that that's unknown anway. A couple of top class additions to the midfield/forward line and we will be a real force to be reckoned with next season. The limitations of the current crop are known. Wilson, Maxi, Miggy etc. Isak and Gordon, Anderson (big maybe?) are unkowns at this point in that we don't know how consistenly they'll be able to provide goals and assists at this level.

Shut it, no way you can make us feel gillty about this

I agree on the whole we aren't favorites for 4th spot. But we've gone through a rough patch and are still in the mix. Plus Liverpool and Spurs are very inconsistent. Get Big Joe back and Gordon fit after the international break. We can take the fight to the last week imo. Hopefully yesterda'y goals will give the lads some much needed confidence and open the flood gates. Did Wilson get a touch after coming on yesterday? Maybe one or two. Concerning but if Isak can build on what he showed yesterday we'll be more than fine.

Was just making those points on the other thread. Love watching him play. His movement is outstanding and he seems to have a decent head on him. We talk about how he may not be an out and out no.9 but today's header was proper centre forwards' goal. Looks like he's got a bit of everything in his locker. Early days but easy to see why we splunked $65M on him.

To be fair Burn did get shown up at LB in the last coupe of games, albeit against high quality opposition. I think most people here recognize he's a CB who's done a great job for us at LB. He's never going to be a consistent CL quality LB. I think its okay to recognize that whilst acknowledging the job he's done for us on the whole, was very good today. I don't pay much attention to the idiots on Twitter. Some of Trippier's deliveries were fantastic today. But agree him and Pope need to get their act together defensively. Bruno also needs to calm down and remember he's actually a good footballer, not just an energizer bunny that goes around making silly fouls. Excellent result and some good performances overall. Willock and Isak in particular. ASM linked up pretty well with Isak on the left as well. Just wish he would shoot once in a while. Can't wait to see what a fully fit Isak with a few months of Howe's coaching is capable of, especially if we sign a decent midfielder or two in the summer to supply him. Onwards and upwards
