  1. I'm comparing us to how comfortable we were on the ball before this bad patch. It's all a bit sloppy now. Football is a confidence game of course.
  2. I know Howe said he's not ready for 90 minutes but really hoping to see Isak start. Looking forward to seeing us take the game to them at a rocking SJP. We've talked about what Targett could bring down the left so hoping he gets some playing time in as well. I'm going for a nervy 2-1 win. We're due a couple of goals.
  3. Aye especially if you've been playing at a level thats making people yearn for Chris Wood.
  4. I know the thread says 'Other Games' but I'll be posting FC Dallas stuff next if you keep this up Robin.
  5. Agree with that largely, and Targett getting back to full fitness should help with that. But I think as good as Miggy can be on his day he will always be a limited player. Extremely one footed, and far too often seems afraid of being direct and taking on defenders. One of the changes in his game last year to me was he seemed more confident taking on and running at people, seems to have reverted to old ways recently.
  6. Realistically I think we are looking at 6th now, which would still be a great season. Hope we have a bit of fun with the pressure off now. Unleash the Maxi/Isak/Gordon combo upfront for Wolves, Wilson and Miggy need some time on the bench. Also hope Targett sees some more game time soon, get us some fluidity down the left.
  7. Meh. Dunno if there is anything new to say as a result of this game. Wilson needs dropping asap, its becoming silly now. Miggy too.
  8. Aye spot on. And its clear the ownership strongly buys into what success could mean, not just for the club and city but also building a historic legacy. The last year still feels surreal. This is Newcastle United, just can't help shake the feeling something bad is around the corner. I know there is no logical reason for it right now and it's quite likely we'll be banking silverware soon.
  9. Amnesty International have a thing for us don't they. Maybe I've missed it but haven't noted a peep out of them about the Qatari Man Utd bid.
  10. Aye but considering we shipped Wood off for $15M plus loan fee, I'm confident Ashworth can convince someone to take Lascelles if we pay them $5M.
  11. Purely because its NUFC I wouldn't be surprised if PIF decided to bugger off. No logical or practical reason to think that would happen though. Just look at what they paid for us. They know they could turn us into a PL/CL winning club in 5-7 years in less than the money Liverpool are asking to be bought for.
  12. Why does the article say 'despite the defeat in the final' or 'plans remain unchanged after the defeat' as if the club's long term investment plans were based on a surprise run on a cup final? Oh its 90min
  13. Fantasy shopping list might have a Theo Hernandez or Alphonso Davies you'd think but each to their own
  14. Just looked up Shaw is 27? He looks at least 36 tbh and has been around for ages
  15. No way we go in for Shaw, even if he wanted to come, would cost too much for his age. Been linked to Tierney, who is 25, not a guaranteed starter at Arsenal, and a significant upgrade on Burn at LB. Much more fitted to our recruitment model.
  16. I get not caring about stats but don't get why there's a problem with people who do feel interested in them. I have not and WILL NOT read the last 5 pages. I have spoken
