    FRIDAY

Should be a good week and weekend, going home to Newcastle on Wednesday and then down to Sheffield for the weekend and match and then back home for the Arsenal game on Monday before coming back to Manchester on the Wednesday! No doubt Newcastle United will do their best to ruin it.
  2. What, non existant? That ground looks as ridiculous as I imagined. Looks better than it does now, and not too dissimilar to Celtic Park but on a larger scale.
  3. It depends on how long you think he'll be here, if he was to stay first team manager until he was 65 before moving upstairs he'd still have plenty of time to sort this club out, in his 5 years at Liverpool he finished 4th, 3rd, 2nd, 5th and 4th as well as picking up 5 trophies on the way. We wouldn't be moving him upstairs for the sake of it either as he knows football inside out, he was the technical director with the French football association when they went on to win the World cup and was credited with a lot of their success, he was also the first manager (I think) to introduce a skills coach into his coaching set up to work on players technique. That's without even mentioning the sort of players he turned Owen and Gerrard into. We could do an awful lot worse than Houllier......... but the question is could Houllier do worse than Newcastle? I think he would come here, I remember back last season after Souness had been sacked that Houllier was on the BBC talking about how he would love to come back to manage in England, he said it was like a second home to him, he also got asked if he would be interested in the Newcastle job before Lyon played Milan in the CL and he smiled before saying "we'll see" or something along those lines. The Lyon job is just too easy for him now, apart from winning the CL there isn't alot more he can achieve with them. I was sure he was our next manager after Sir Bobby Robson, I thought it was nailed on. I bumped into him in the bar at the Marriott hotel next to the Metro Centre not long after Sir Bobby had been fired and spoke to him for 5 minutes, he refused to talk about his future but happily talked about his time at Liverpool. Then Shepherd went and appointed Souness!
  4. Player Parker and Butt in central midfielder AGAIN is worse, especially at home against Man City. Full time.. Huge boos ring around St James' Park... That is just not fucking good enough, only Owen, Ameobi and Krul are injured out of the whole squad!
  5. Collingwood Insurance Man of the Match Steven Taylor. 6 hours + without a league goal.
