You're part of the wider problem we have on these islands Kevin. You've left school with 8 GCSE's and you're thick as fuck. Show me where I have been racist so far. I don't think you have said anything explicitly racist but I am puzzled as to why you have felt the urge to repeatedly state that these people are predominantly black when we can all see this on the TV pictures. For me, they are just a shower of cunts, I don't care what their skin colour is.

I live in Tower Hill which is very close to a lot of these areas in Tower Hamlets. I've seen a few stickers and posters almost all of which have been vandalised (and rightly so). It's disgraceful trying to impose this sort of thing on people. In general, however, there seems to be zero tolerance for this extremism among the locals. I've never seen any trouble nor do I know of any non-muslims that have been targeted. I'm not saying it doesn't go on but it does lead me to believe that, yes, it is indeed a small minority which is generally the case with most forms of extremism. If this doesn't suit the right wing agenda then so be it but I just thought I'd offer the experience of someone who lives in one of these areas.

It's an interesting debate. Nobody chooses where they are born so, in that sense, I'm very pro-immigration. I think it should be down to the individual whether they choose to learn English or not. I really can't understand why they would choose not to as it would enrich their lives and give them so many more opportunities in this country. However, if they don't want to learn then I think it is the individuals choice and that should be respected. I certainly don't think the requirement to learn English should be forced upon them.

Who is the nicest person to grace this forum?

Deadman would be up there as one of the nicest. He takes all the jokes made against him very very well. -

Where is our Anti-Muslim Christian right wing fanatic these days?
Billy Whitehurst replied to Rob W's topic in General Chat
Managed to stay out of these circular debates for a few months....if there's even been any, but I can't let a factual error like that go..... Europol Report: All Terrorists are Muslims…Except the 99.6% that Aren’t Whoah there, stop bringing your namby pamby, leftie looney, Guardian reading, do gooder, bacon hating, hippy facts into the debate. What have facts and statistics got to do with anything? Can we please keep this debate sensible and stick to what the voices in our heads are telling us. -
I'm with KSA on this one, I don't think CT is a particularly bad bloke and does seem to take a lot of the abuse he gets very well. I can't understand why anyone wants him banned. He's not ruined nearly as many of threads as that fucking tedious Ashley v Shepherd argument. I don't think he's the smartest of lads and does fall hook line and sinker for the bullshit that the club peddles but that's hardly a crime. I have some sympathy with him on the Enrique issue too. The club have handled badly but I reckon Enrique is using this as an excuse to hasten his exit.

They won 3-0? Best one I heard today, "Arsenuww pwobably av the fawf biggest fanbase in the world". 15 years ago our fanbase was bigger than their's. Disagree Whitehurst, maybe you know more proper Arsenal fans than me, but Ian Wright has it right the vast majority of them are not proper fans. I'm not saying they are entirely representative, just most of the Arsenal fans I know are pretty knowledgeable and pretty realistic about their current standing. The Spurs fans I know are the opposite. I suppose that's by the by though as all team's have their fair share of numpty fans. Actually, the worst down here are the Liverpool and Man Utd supporters who have absolutely no links with the clubs apart from being glory seeking bastards.

Film/moving picture show you most recently watched

Saw Tree of Life at the cinema, had been really looking forward to it but have to agree with you, it was utter toss. I've never seen so many people walk out of a cinema - about 30 people walked. The majority of those left were just laughing at it by the end. I stopped taking it seriously after the bit with the dinosaurs. -
Have lived down in London for over 10 years now and, of the people I know, I find the Arsenal and West Ham fans the most knowledgeable and least blinkered. Of the London teams, the Spurs fans are comfortably the worst which I attribute to the Mackem-like chip on their shoulder.

One of the best has to be Panenka's dink to win The European Championship for Czechoslovakia in 1976. Utter genius to do that under all that pressure.

Off the top of my head, would rather have Cole, Evra, Clichy, Coentrao who are better than Enrique. Don't get me wrong, I think Enrique is quality but not one of the best in the world.

I agree that the converse go well with shorts like. The Fred Perry's though, I'm not convinced. For a start Fred Perry aren't a trainer maker and, secondly, they are just plain plimsoles with a Fred Perry badge stitched on. I just don't like trainers done by brands who are more clothing brands (Fred Perry, Lacoste, Hugo Boss etc). That said, I recently purchased some blue suede loafers which rather invalidates my opinion when it comes to shoes!
-
Those Fred Perry's are like the £2 trainers schoolkids used to wear for PE in the 80s.
-
Cruyff trainers are pretty nice, go well with jeans. A bit more expensive than normal trainers but not by much.

Named after our former centre forward who was essentially a bouncer masquerading as a professional footballer. He would have made Leon Best look like Van Basten. For some reason, he's always amused me.

In terms of bodies in for the first team squad does anyone know how likely Vuckic and Kadar are to step-up? I must admit to knowing very little about these two but maybe some of you who are regular reserve team watchers have seen (I appreciate they both had fairly long term injuries last season) more of them. It would be good to see more of the youngsters coming through but, obviously, only if they are good enough. The likes of Ferguson never disgraced himself when he got the chance but he is still probably a year or two away from being a regular first teamer.

What was number 1 when you.......
Billy Whitehurst replied to Christmas Tree 's topic in General Chat
Whereas the 3rd one is beyond shit. Could have been worse, I had Kenny Rogers - Lucille on my D.O.B and Robson & Jerome - Unchained Melody on my 18th, it's no wonder I've got such shit taste in music. -
Have only done cowies a few times as most of my mates are boozers and I tend to stick to the drink. That said, each time I've done them I've had a belting night and the day after has been far easier than with a massive booze induced hangover. Which makes me think I should have done them more often. I always find the Mary Whitehouse types who don't dabble in booze or drugs are precisely the people who would actually get the most out of them.
