  1. Jesus, I've just got back and read this. Utterly speechless, shocked and bemused. Really struggling to take it in. RIP Speedo, I can't even begin to imagine what caused this, he really didn't seem to have such a thing about him, always a top bloke, professional and laid back kind of guy when I've seen him in the media, poor, poor bloke.
  2. Lol, loving the Secret Agent Bruce stuff, the Mackems are seething
  3. Until January anyways, Ashley is rubbing his hands at Krul's performance ... it's nice while it lasts though.
  4. Fair result that, we played great today. Man Utd were lucky to get their goal and we were lucky to get ours. The one thing that stood out for me today though was how Man Utd's players crowded the ref at the pen and at the end of the match, if I was the ref I'd have been carding them all.
  5. That's all I've seen so far in this game, we've been playing well but ultimately undone by the ref and an obvious bias towards Manure.
  6. Just watched the replay, Rooney's just being his usual cuntish self, kicking a player and getting away with it... laughable to think he was ever compared to Shearer!
  7. I'm in a right shitty mood - had to change doctors when I moved house and whereas my old doctor's used to give me a couple of items for one prescription my new doctor's charges one prescription per item, I've just been charged £14.80 for one inhaler and one box of 30 tablets! Fucking rip off bastards, and to think the jocks and taffs get their prescriptions free! Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!
  8. Always been the case for me anyways, I prefer Man Utd to Liverpool because I dislike Scousers and their victim complex, don't like Arsenal because most of their fans that I've met are divine righters, don't like Chelski because they've bought success and were no better than us before being bailed out by the Russian, don't like City because they're pretty similar to Chelsea's situation but without the winning togetherness or likeable former manager (Jose, not Risk Astley with a beard). In fact I'm pretty partizan when it comes to supporting the Toon in general, there's not many other teams I do like tbh.
  9. Which sadly is the very truth of the matter, I'm pretty sure that given an equal amount of money any team in the land could be where they are. Reputation, fan-base and history-wise City have and always will be a mediocre team in my eyes, the team they are now aren't a true reflection of any real achievements because, like Chelsea, they've just got someone who's bought their name if you like and thrown money at it until it gets somewhere. Teams like Man Utd and Liverpool are big teams on their own merit - I know both have weathly owners now but their reknown was about a lot longer before the money came along. City haven't built a team who play as a team by a manager who gets the best out of the most average of players, they've just paid up the cash until they have enough big named players to compete at the top of the league, it's sad but that's what our game is these days.
  10. The lease wouldn't be an issue. I'm guessing they'd need approval from the FA though for a name change, which of course would never be given. I suspect the fans of Wimbledon thought the same before they got changed to MK Dons... Sports Direct United? Newcastle Direct? Lonsdale FC? You're comparing us to Wimbledon? Even you must know that's a stupid comparison. Well, I'd hope there was a difference but what if that's just pride talking, pride before a fall and all that - hell I wouldn't be at all surprised by anything these days.
  11. Actually, bearing in mind Satan owns the following brands I guess any would be applicable if he wanted to 'showcase' their names as new club names: Antigua Carlton Dunlop Donnay GoldDigga Everlast Kangol Karrimor Lonsdale No Fear Slazenger Voodoo Dolls Just add an 'FC' or 'Utd' at the end of any of them and he'd be cooking with gas

  13. Let's face it, we all know it's going to happen, will anyone really be surprised?
  14. WTF? There are no words. Seriously, there's no excuse for behaviour like that round kids, rather than laughing they should have been giving her a kicking.
  15. FIFA represent nothing other than corruption within football, they do nothing other than hinder the game and line the pockets of it's corrupted officals - the whole organisation needs replacing from top to bottom.
  16. Sadly Gazza has 'been on the mend' too many times to count, poor bloke's a lost cause.
  17. Fuck that anyway, I still don't see why we would want to sell our souls for £10m a season, £10m is peanuts in the grand scheme of things even IF any of it went back in to the team.
  18. That's not what he said Contrary twat.
  19. Entertaining but he's no Professor Elemental...
  20. Aye, she's got webbed feet an all
  21. The way things are going we'll lose the black and white stripes next, just so Ashley can 'showcase' the potential of a company displaying their colours on our kit. For me it's like they're gradually chipping away at what makes Newcastle Utd the club that it is. Disregarding all tradition and what the club is made of, hell they could change the name to Sports Direct FC if it made some money! Do we really want to be a faceless, plastic football club just to win something or do we want something we can identify with, special to us and only us? For those that say they don't care I assume (rightly or wrongly) that you would have been the same as those Wimbledon 'fans' who continued to follow the club when the whole thing moved and became MK Dons, even when it was sitting in a new town. I for one will never cease in referring to the ground as St James Park but that's not enough, it makes no difference what I call it to everyone else, the fact that another part of the club's heritage is being changed to supposedly finance better things, other fans and the media with no connection to the club will forget and from that we will just become another club in the football league as opposed to Newcastle United, a club with a rich history, a club that's know the world over.
  22. Well we all know that Ryder isn't a Toon fan anyways
