Robin Van Penis for PFA player of the year? Really? With his shitty attitude and unsporting ways? Laughable awards on the most part.

I'm kind of at the crossroads where I'm thinking 'Has it all been a fluke?', 'Have other teams just been shit?' or 'Has the plans of Mike Ashley actually come to fruition?'. As I've said before I still don't sit happily with the current regime due to my hatred of Derek Llambias and past indescretions... however, I can't knock what's been achieved and the amazing job done by the playing staff and the management team (ie, the coaching and scouting staff). For a change it's a great time to be a Newcastle United supporter, I admit I still have that gremlin in the back of my mind say "Just wait til the summer transfer window again" but I never thought we'd be where we are this season. The only criticism I have is that by getting rid of one man Mike Ashley could win me back but he just can't see past the speccy wanker.

If we're getting shot of players we need to be looking at ones not making the first team, on the fringes or aren't being picked at the end of their current contracts - Lovenkrands, Smith, Xisco, Best and maybe Obertan. We really need to bring in another centre back as cover at the minimum, a left back and maybe another attacking midfielder/forward. If we lose any of the better players we will need some serious first team consideration because really we should be looking at reinforcing the team that's already performing.

How much compensation would Ashley demand from the FA?
TheMoog replied to trophyshy's topic in Newcastle Forum
Why Pardew rather than Redknapp? I can't see the FA going for Pardew tbh, I suspect Ashley would be equally as money grabbing for Pards as Levy would for Harry. -
I can't stick George Galloway, fucking worm of an attention seeking scumbag. He's dangerous.

Fantastic post by HH, totally agree with all of it!

Of course with that said there's been a fair bit on both sides of this saga of late... quiet armchair penis! Lol, don't make me bring back the avatar!

I'm not celebrating until it's a certainty, doing anything else is inviting disaster and copious mocking from other supporters. On the where the club is now, yes I think we've been doing fantastically but I can't help thinking we've been a bit more fortunate on occasion than previous seasons (or maybe other teams have been more unlucky). For the record I still think Ashley is a scrote for keeping Llambias as chairman and I'm not willing to consider forgiving him his past indiscretions against the Keegler or the renaming of the ground unless Llambias goes. With that said however I can't take away from what appears to have been achieved so far in the planning of the club, so with that I'm over the moon - though I wonder how much has been pure coincidence. For the time being it's all there to be enjoyed and it'd be stupid to do anything else really given the opportunity.

I'm still playing it, though not as frequently as early on. They've made leaps and bounds in the first couple of months, I think the initial plan has been to get something playable out to the masses and then quickly add content and guts to the game which they seem to be doing. The next big patch (1.2) will undoubtedly be the next giant leap for the game, it's vastly improved on WoW's slow progression over the years and the developers actually seem to listen to the players for new innovations. I've probably stuck with it all the more through being an uber Star Wars fan but I've tried both factions now, Sith and Republic and both have their pros and cons, the only ongoing issue within the game that I see has been mentioned already is the server populations, it can be a little sparse on some of the servers sometimes and there isn't an option for transferring characters between servers yet. The look, the feel, the difficulty level and playability are all there and being improved on regularly, plus there's the added bonus of being Star Wars, I think it'll be one of those games where it'll change massively in the next 9-12 months and imo is already superior to WoW. If you want an good MMO then this is one of the better ones right now, it just helps if you're a Star Wars geek like me.

In this case I need to repeat myself from another thread: Americans, while obviously a large and powerful nation are only that due to their size and wealth. They have no history worth mentioning and in general are ridiculously stupid and overweight, thinking the rest of the world revolves around them. The only thing they do well is gluttony and ignorance, fucking 'soccer' indeed!

Mental how Glen Johnson, Stan Collymore, etc have the nerve to even suggest Perchinho didn't actually get headbutted by Reina, talk about blinkered!
