To be fair to Ba I'd rather play him over Cisse as a lone frontman if the tactics called for a single striker. That said though it does piss me off to no end when players and especially agents start talking publicly after nothing incidents, surely they must understand different games and higher volumes of games calls for rotation?

The other one should never have happened in the first place because it wasn't a foul that gave you the free kick leading to it. I don't see what you're moaning about, a draw was a fair result, we could have had a couple more in the second half, same as you could have in the first half. Enjoy it for what it was, if the ref had waved play on when Ben Arfa was charging in instead of pulling the game back after your supposed goal you could have lost 3-2.

Tbh this match (and the season so far) has epitomised what happens when you don't strengthen or build on success achieved by your team, of course the people running our club wouldn't have a clue about that - whether that's because they're not 'football' people or just generally tight-arsed, stingy bastards who take more than they put in to the club is up to you. Same old shit for me though, empty promises, papering over cracks whenever possible and taking the piss. ... I'll sit back and wait for the 'knee-jerk-tastic' accusations now.

We don't look a patch on last season, in fact it's that bad we look like a different team. Question is, were we punching above our weight last year? Or do the players just not give a shit this year? Something's not right... can't think what it is though

Massively underwhelmed by our summer transfers this year, shows a lack of ambition imo. Should have got at least another striker and defender but yet again we're left with minimal impact. Yes, it's good that we didn't lose any of our big players but at the same time we've not strengthened our position at all and in the grand scheme of things I can only see that being to our detriment what with the signings other teams around us have made. I think our lack of depth will show if spread out across the various competitions open to us, hopefully we'll still be able to hit the top 5-6 at the end of the season - if we don't then we've moved backwards.

Carroll didn't want to play for Liverpool, he won't want to play for West Ham either. His move to West Ham is like Owen's was to us, not his first choice and just filling time while grabbing a wage. Still, with that said Fat Sam will be unbearable after this. Glad we didn't put in £17m for Carroll though, I'd have liked him back but he's no way worth anywhere near that price.
