Sweet Jesus, watching this match on tv and to say the ref's being lenient on Wigan is an understatement - they should be down to 9 men at the very least and have several more yellows. The only way Wigan are still in this match is because the ref's keeping them in it, there's generosity and there's performing shit, so far the ref's been fucking shocking. However, all that aside any result against a 10 man team could well paper over obvious cracks just in time for January - Fatty may well turn round and say we don't need to invest as much. Glad we're winning at last though.

Clowns... THE only reason we're failing to perform this season is the lack of vision the owner had in not strengthening the team when he had the chance. Pardew isn't helping by trying to play the same way as we did last season when we're rammed with injuries, the players coming in aren't up to it but that combined with the fact we've shown zero ambition during the summer has really let us down. It's been Fatty and Dekka's fault all along but then anyone with half a brain has known that from the start.

Got less to do with Pardew than it has with Ashley not strengthening the team in the summer tbh.

To be honest I don't think you can blame Pards for our demise, it's quite simply down to a complete lack of quality in depth. We didn't strengthen in the summer or build on our over-achievement last season, it was wishful thinking that we'd challenge for Europe with the same squad - one decent season with luck on your side doesn't make us a yearly prospect.

Fucking dogshit result, fucking dogshit, one-season wonder team living on last years laurels. They players need to have a fucking good look at themselves and Pardew needs to be kicking some arse. Saying we're better than this and actually showing it are poles apart, the frustration of knowing the players aren't putting in the effort they did last year is sickening. Fuck fuck fuckity fuck fuck!

We've got solar panels installed, the FiT (Feed in Tarriff) payments we get quarterly (the missus looks after the bills so I'm sketchy on this) give us a fair amount of cash and is tax free as well as index linked for the next 25 years. We got in before the last round of government tomfoolery so we're getting the higher rate of return too which is excellent. The installation cost about £9k which going by the figures we've got will be paid off in about six years, once that's done it's free money towards the bills. My only gripe with it is that if the electricity goes down on the local grid then the panels production is turned off as well, something to do with not electricuting the workmen should they need to isolate the local powerlines while they're fixing whatever problem is causing the outage. You'd think someone would invent some sort of trip switch really so that those with solar panels would still be able to use whatever they're producing in an outage. Sadly the battery technology doesn't exist in any feasible format for residential implementation so that's out of the question too. Essentially it's a long term investment that was a no-brainer for us providing you've got no intention of moving - even though as Wiki quite rightly said, it supposedly increases the value of your property. One thing we were told when we had ours installed though is that under some new building regs all properties from 2013 onwards must have solar technology included (though I'm not sure whether it means so many per estate built or actually per house).

Just read the very awesome news that David Braben has at last decided to go ahead and make a new version/installement of Elite. If you're old enough you'll remember the orginal, to be honest any gamer out there worth their salt should know of the original as it was the pioneering grand-daddy of all space flight sims.
