Aye I don't know how we can jump in ahead of anyone without a manager like. Very true, why would we sign players before the new manager's come in and decided who he wants to keep or bring in himself. Still, on the subject of older players like Fowler and Xavier, Sam's managed to squeeze an extra season or two out of other players before, no reason why he couldn't do it here as well to utilize a couple of players to pad out the squad. I'd take Fowler for that but I'm not sure about the other two mentioned.
