    Leeds Utd

It's about time the FA dismissed that -15 point deduction Leeds had, it was all to do with that inland revenue case but the case was later dropped... how have they managed to uphold the penalty? Seems more stupid shite from our country's governing body of football.
  2. But it did and has, evidently there's 'football fans' and 'newcastle fans', Bergkamp was technically a great player, a cheat but a great player. Personally though I wouldn't want to celebrate him on a forum supposedly aimed at Newcastle United fans, I don't see what he's got to do with our team. The point's moot anyways, unless you're in the 'inside circle' this isn't the place to be. Bollocks! You come out with an argumentative comment like you did and if anyone bites back, it's automatically because you're not part of "the cliqué". There is no cliqué, if any of the regulars had made that comment it'd have been challenged. Bergkamp was sly, but he was also an awesome player - one of the best this league has ever seen. The goal he scored against us in 2002 will go down as one of the best ever. Still doesn't change the fact that this is supposedly a 'newcastle' forum and Bergkamp has got feck all to do with our team. As a member of this forum (feel free to be surprised that I've been her for a while) I know I don't post as regularly as some but I would say there is a certain element of having a 'cliqué', that said it is understandable that you'd get a reasonable one from having some 'regulars' who dominate most threads. Most of you lot are a decent bunch, apologises for upseting those who aren't. On a side note you should really consider having a seperate forum where you can drool over players/historical figures from other football teams, personally I'm a newcastle fan and as such couldn't give a flying dogs cock about other teams or stuff to do with them, you'll be putting up a compilation of Roy 'dog wanker' Keane next. If, as you say you have, you have been around here for a while, you'll know that we've twice trialed the idea of a seperate football forum only for it unanimously be given the thumbs down on both occassions. If all you want to hear about is Newcastle United, then only open those threads. It was fairly indicative from the title what this thread was about and seeing as there's no rule here to post 'only NUFC related' stuff in this forum, there's nothing wrong with Jonny posting it. Heaven forbid if you do manage to open a non-NUFC related thread, you could always exercise the right not to reply. That's a better response, I'm satiated

  5. I think 2J's been around a lot longer than you to have a better idea of content. Oh, okay then, really sorry to upset your cliqué... and there was me thinking that was more of a problem on the 'other' forum, I forget you've got to be a long term member with a post count of multiple thousand to express an opinion.
  6. If I wanted to see that rat-faced cheating fecker I'd go to an arsenal forum, good player but not the sort thing I want to see on here.
  7. Hehe, who's going to be first to come out with "Big Sam Out!"? I've got to say I'm a little disappointed with how things are going as far as results and state of play's concerned but I don't want to be amongst those muppets who call for a manager's head a handful of games
  8. I just don't understand how football managers get through their jobs picking and playing the teams they do sometimes, I'm sure that side of the game isn't as hard as some would have you believe - when it's so glaringly obvious that a formation/team doesn't work why not try something a bit more creative? Odd.
  9. Back to the same old results, happy days...
  10. It's not bad enough that I've just got in from a weekend of working on my new house and read the whole 'Taylor' thing going on but I see this as well - Though that was from some site called 'Soccervoice' so I'm not overly worried... in fact it bothers me a lot more that while away working on my house I met my new neighbour as well and it turns out he's a mackem
  11. Quite a sick thing to say Lol, there's always one mong who jumps on even the slightest idea of something that 'might' cause outrage...
  12. It's because he is shite. Martins would've finished there. Not at all pleased with Owen getting picked over Martins. I don't think Owen's got the fitness to be starting matches yet, should have started with Martins and brought Owen on later as a sub.
  13. Bollocks, he's fucked off for the best reason in the world, to be closer to his children. There is no better reason than I can think of. His wife left him for whatever reason and took his kids to London, more power to Nobby for wanting to be nearer to them. No way, "Bollocks" is the fact that at his time in his career he couldn't have put it off for a couple more seasons. Nobby was one of my favourites but he's let us down by moving. Using his kids as an excuse is poor, as if he/they couldn't commute for a couple of years? It's that attitude that's fucked up a load of footballers these days. So you're telling me if your family was at one end of the country and you were at the other and there was a job that paid just aswell right next to your family you wouldn't move? Fuck off, man There's other things to take in to consideration - loyalty and the length of a footballer's career. I can see what you're getting at but it seems like a pointless upheaval to me for 2 years in the grand scheme of such a short career.

  15. The lad was desperate to go south, plus he wasn't in Sam's plans. Would you fell better if we got 500K for him? Perhaps a little, Nobby's let us down in my eyes, not only has he fucked off for no good reason he's joined them pricks at West Ham. £500k might have helped ease it but nobby going has added to our problem now of lacking creativity in midfield and the more of these big bruisers Sam brings in the more I'm concerned we're turning in to Bolton... he's not helping banish the jibes about him being a long ball manager either. Being closer to your family is more than a valid reason. As for Big Sam's style of play I could not care one bit if it gets us results. I don't agree with that at all. If his family was in a different country then fair enough but it was their choice to live in London. For the short time a footballer's career lasts I'd expect their family to live near them, not vice versa. It's part of the problem with today's game, as much as I hate Roy Keane it's pretty much what he was saying and I believe Sam agreed as well. Shows a lack of comitment in my eyes.

I see what your getting at, but i'm not afraid yet about Sam's style. He already said that in his first year he will concentrate on the defensive side, trying to make us harder to beat. But further on I would like to see a real quality midfield general in our side. Tbh Nobby wasn't the player who would eventually solved our creativity problems, because I don't think sam would have played him. Btw .cock says an "undisclosed fee", so he didn't go for free. Actually, that's made me a little better, I guess it's not all bad. Thinking about i suppose if he's going tostart playing for Peru again he'll benipping over to South America every chance he gets too.
  17. Wow... I'm impressed with the vision put in to coming up with a balanced all round team.

  19. Free fucking transfer??? Jesus flying fuck! Okay, now my piss is really boiling, letting Nobby go is bad enough - especially to them wankers at West Ham - but on a free? I'm speechless, my estimations of Sam and the new board have suddenly gone down a tad. That's put a real black mark on what was looking to be a promising start of a new era for me. Grrrrrrrrr!
  20. That it then? We got Beye and Faye while Nobby went to West Ham? Shame about Nobby, he just lost his legend status for me, can't stick West Ham.
  21. I liked Le Sib, always thought he was pretty much spot on for us and although not a long term prospect I think I'd have kept him for another year or so just as back-up if nothing else. Sounds like a fan's player with the stuff he comes out with in his interviews.
  22. Why is it I get this sneaking suspicion that Eggy's got one of his mates back home to try and stir up some shit for us seeing as we mugged him with the Dyer transfer?
  23. I'd be sorry to see Nobby go but rather Pompey than them cheating scumbags at West Ham

    Spuds

So two games in to the season they're calling for the manager's head, half the team to be replaced and a new board? And they say we're fickle!!! I bet the London rags won't touch that story though.
