  1. It's funny, I don't remember it being all rosy with Sam in charge...

So whats changed since the Blackburn game to raise your concerns? That game was our best this season BTW Well, I'm just a bit worried that the teams below us are making more of an effort, I really didn't expect Reading to get anything from Man City for example. Maybe I'm just having a dip in optomism, I know on paper we should theoretically have an easier run in than some but it's deffo a squeaky bum moment for me at the mo.

Okay, you should know it's bad when even I'm having slight concerns... I mean I really am trying to be Mr Optomistic but it's looking like some of those teams who should be below us really are putting up more of a fight than I first gave them credit for ~ parp...
  4. You make me laarf you do! How many so called poorer teams have we beat already this season? not fucking many thats for sure, so don't count your chickens on the staying cool part. Don't worry, be happy
  5. Chuffin hell, the press builds things up every week, when we've been playing better opposition, that this could be Kev's first win but did anyone honestly expect anything from this game? The points to keep us up were never going to come today, try not to get sucked in to feeling negative on the back of a game like this - the team's still going to be shite at the end of the season, when we get to the summer and haven't been relegated then we can start improving properly. We have much of the muppets playing for us that previous managers have had and they never going to suddenly become confident and all-conquering while they're at this club together - we need the summer to get here, Ashley to give Kev a big transfer kitty and a lot of new players in to try and flush out the overall feeling of doom out of the playing side. I know today we didn't play well but against the teams in the top 6 we're not going to, yet. Once we've played some of the poorer teams and kept our prem status it'll be job done for this season, we don't need anything more for now. Today was just a game we had to get out of the way, it wasn't good but it's done now and we can concentrate on the job at hand - staying up! Something I'm confident we can do, so stop feeling sorry for yourselves and roar us on until the end of the season!!!
  6. I always liked Paulo DiCanio, always entertaining
  7. I doubt he'd walk, to be honest I wouldn't want him to either. We need to stop this knee-jerking nonsense just on what the press reports (inaccurately). Kev's the right man for the job regardless of what people outside the club or it's support might want to believe.
  8. One of the lads said to me not long after he came here "I reckon all this sports science thing is all smoke and mirrors', starting to look that way now for Duff to come out and say what he has. To think the size of the backroom team he had brought in as well. Jobs for the boys I reckon, I'll admit I was fairly pleased when Sam came in but I guess that was all down to the shite we'd been dealt prior to his appointment... it'd didn't really improve and to be honest I look back now and think it was more of an indication that Sam needed far to many people to do one man's job - the manager. I agree he bought well in Beye and Faye but other than that I see no real positives, Sam's just a fat sack of hot air.

1 Man Utd 2 Arsenal 3 Chelsea 4 Liverpool 5 Everton 6 Aston Villa 7 Man City 8 West Ham 9 Blackburn 10 Portsmouth 11 Tottenham 12 Birmingham 13 Middlesbrough 14 Newcastle 15 Wigan 16 Sunderland 17 Reading 18 Bolton 19 Fulham 20 Derby That's my latest prediction for the league standings at the end of this season, I'm not worried.
  10. I was just looking at the coming fixtures and even if we lost the next two I can't see Reading, Fulham or Derby getting anything out of their games either so I don't think there's any worries just yet - of course the press will make out we're doomed long before such a thing is ever likely to happen just because making us out to be shit sells them papers... apparently. Fecking idiots the lot of em.
  11. I'd love it, love it if we beat them
  12. If the bit about Hughton was true, it would be a shocking state of affairs, but I don't believe that for a second. I'm afraid they won't shut up about Keegan being underminded until this season is over and Keegan gets some serious money to spend on new players. Aye, that's about the size of it. Because the press have it ingrained to come up with bullshit stories about us and have done for so long they can't help themselves spout nonsense about us seeing as there's nothing solid right now. Unlike anyone with common sense who doesn't expect anything to happen with the team until next season the press are trying to create stories that aren't there just so they can fill columns... personally I'd prefer there to be no news than made up garbage.
  13. Lazy journalism at it's very best, to be honest you can see why the board might get fed up with having to deny every stupid 'rumour' that gets printed by these idiots... fucking turds.

My 'Season 2007/2008 Sports Almanac' says we won't get relegated, some crazy old guy with a cane claiming to be a distant relative gave it to me and it's been spot on so far...

    I reckon we'll finish around 14th
  16. Freddy Shepherd undermining Sir Bobby and ultimately sacking him and replacing him with Souness.
  17. How long before some spuds fans come on here to rub it in? Personally I couldn't give a flying chuff, I don't like them particularly but if I was them I'd be more concerned with celebrating than what any other team's fans think. I'd kill for a pot and even that mickey mouse cup would be something to cheer about
  18. That's really how I feel but I just cannot advocate the relegation of the club, that could be a seriously damaging thing to happen to us.
  19. To be fair I've said myself that he deserves a run of games up front to show what he can do, he's now had that run and is still absolutely shite. Give Carroll a start ahead of him. Agreed, he's had his chance, let the kids have a crack
  20. There's something deeply wrong with the players, they're the only constant the club's had along with shite performances and results since the dark days of Souness. I'm starting to wonder whether a wholesale change of playing staff might be the best idea to ditch the terrible decline.
  21. It bothers me more when a team like Birmingham draws 2-2 with 10 men against Arsenal when all our players have managed is two 3-0 defeats, someone could do with sending the team some heart ala the Pistone Christmas gag.
  22. With the collection of arrogant twats they have of course it was. Shame it couldnt have happened to someone who deserved it like Eboue. I'm sad for Eduardo though he seems like a decent enough guy Matt, grow the fuck up or keep those fucking stupid comments to yourself. I wouldn't want that to happen to any team's players but he does have a point with the bit about them being arrogant, and Arsewipe Wenger doesn't help matters coming out with shite like that or saying he thinks Taylor should never play footy again. It's that sort of nonsense that adds to the ever increasing rules that are turning the game in to a non-contact sport
  23. Jesus christ on a bike, I never expected us to get anything from this game but you'd think that the players would at least make an effort - the way things are going I'm hoping that Kev gets an entirely new first eleven during the summer!
  24. Christ that sounds bad, regardless of team I hope it's not as bad as it sounds.
